My mom got me a PVM from the grocery store for my birthday today, but she didn't put it in a very good spot in the car and on the way home about half of its leaves got knocked off. I've got a whole bunch of leaves that I'm going to try to propagate now, so I'm glad I found this video. It's given me a bit of hope!
Thank you so much for how well you explain and shoe pictures of overwatered and sunburnt and all the details like leaving a few leaves on the stalk when cutting. Thank you! I was just about to do it wrong! LoL!
@@ChopstickandSucculents hi! I live in the Pacific Northwest (north of Seattle) and I am wondering when you say do not put these cuttings or leaves in direct sunlight right away, is a grow light ok?
this is a very beautiful echeveria. I have a lil baby in my collection that I've got from home depot. I hope it will survive the winter indoors with me. Thank you very much for this video. You have an amazing collection of succulents.
Wow Pearle Von Nurnberg is one of my favorite succulent because of their lovely color and i take care so much of this because i only have 2 and i dont want them to die , with your video i hope i could propagate more and hope i will be succesfull . Thank you theresa for this lovely video . 😊🥰😍
Thank you chopsticks!!! Your videos are giving me a lot of confidence! When it came to succulents that I'd see at Home Depot....I always thought they were really overrated because of how easily they would die.....yeah I'd keep giving them water but they kept dying....now I'm starting to learn thier 'language' and understand them a bit better! Thank you kindly ✝️🛐🍟🧁🤠😎🥰💤👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏🐧🌵
Question: when your petals start growing roots at what point do you put them in the soil. In other words, do they have to be a certain length before you put it in the soil? Also, are other echeverias treated the same way for propagation? Thank you so much for your videos, I have enjoyed this hobby for only two months, but I have learned so much from you.
Hello your voice is soft and delicste like the succulent you taught me , propogating delicate succulents and i hope i will succeed with your way of propagating succulents. I am reallly amaze.
Mine accidentally got sunburned on a big part of it. It was doing so well before that. What is my best approach now? It still has 2 pups on the stem as well. But all leaves are so loose atm. Any advice?
Thank you for focusing on the Pearl van Numburg. I was concerned that mine was bi-colored, green on the bottom leaves and purple in the center. But I did not realize that was normal. Thank you for teaching us how to have colorful succulents!
Hello Theresa ,thanks for sharing these tips with us. No need to mention about the beauty of your succulents. What I really want to know is how you designed your balcony,I mean the shelves / racks you used as layers of whole unit succulent pots. What material did they( you) use to build it? Can you please inform or send links to me if there is one ? Thanks.
Thanks for answering. I will definitely build it ,because I'm in love with it from the very first moment I saw. You're are an inspiration. Keep up the good work! Finally, what kind of coating did you apply to make it impervious? Love from Turkey. 💞
I have an echeveria pearl and it was doing great on my balcony where I would sometimes forget about it, but when I brought it inside it started losing leaves. I have it in the only window in my room which is facing SW. Any tips on how to help me save it?
Great video, but I have a question because I'm new. When do I water the root end? After it's calloused or just treat it like a regular succulent and water when dry? Thanks!
After it’s calloused, just stick it in dirt and water like normal, it will root on its own because it will get thirsty so it will set out roots on its own!
Hello Just wanna ask how often do you water your succulents i’m based here in the Phil. And regarding to the newly propagated ones from the leaves do i have to keep them moist? Thanks
Your garden is so so beautiful! The talent!! Also! I had another planter fall on my nurnberg and a few leaves came off but one is hanging on with a new root growing out of it, but it’s not dying? Not sure what’ll happen with it haha.
My PVNs bottom 2 rows of leaves are turning downward instead of up like the top 6 rows. Is this a light problem it gets a còuple of direct sun hrs in the mornings and plenty of light outside.
Great video, but you should adjust the VOLUME so it's a little louder. I had my volume turned all the way up and could barely hear you.I I have an Echevaria Perle Von Nurnberg, BTW. I just bought it a few days ago from a local nursery here in Lake Charles, LA. I bought it along with a Strelitzia reginae(smaller Bird of Paradise) and a Crassula(Jade) plant. I also bought a bag of succulent or desert potting soil. I'm assuming that soil mix will be OK for the Bird even though it's technically not a desert plant. I know it likes a sandy well draining soil, so I thought it'd be OK. What do you think?
My echiveria (perle von nurnberg & blue bird) keep elongating over time because of lack of sunlight where I live, And I had no idea if I keep some leaves on the stem they will form more succulents. I usually just behead the whole rosette and the stem dies. Thank you for this :D !
Thank for all the information you share. What is the difference between Echeveria, Graptupetalum, Graptoveria.? Is it a must to really behead these plants?
I just got one of these and I had a question about watering. I’m trying to figure out what it needs so not to over water but I’m not sure what the leaves on the bottom are telling me, they look a bit wrinkled and feel mushy vs firm. I’ve only watered it once since getting it. Does that texture indicate over watering?
You video makes it sound so easy and I’m tempted to buy another echeveria. What I’m wondering is why I’ve killed so many in the past even though I tried to follow instructions.
Hey! I am a newbie, and am getting succulents for myself. Especially Echeveria. Am wanting to spray them with fungicides as it's monsoon here and don't want these babies 2 get any infection.. what do u recommend?
Your videos are perfect. 💚 I have a question- it is autumn here and i laid some succulent leaves in the soil. And also lightly watered them, before I watched this. There was a baby in just one bit the rest are not growing. Can something be done now? Thanks in advance 🙏
Very cool. A succulent my dog fell on broke the stem in half. I didnt move it I just let it be. It declined but it re reooted itself and growing again.
I m a subscriber of your channel.i m from india, Calcutta. For propagation you put the echiveria in soil mixture but not water it (was it dry ya moist ) and after 1 month when you pluck it from the soil mixture and show the rooting started . In this process please share me the watering schedule. When I pluck the upper part of echiveria before it the previous day ya the day before yesterday I should water .....? After putting the cutting should I water once in a week ya anything elses? And Ma'am what is the best time ( around the year) to propagation. Should I keep the cutting in a indirect light ( sun) till its rooting started. Please help me. Thank you.👍
I have some leaves growing babies but around the leaves, is that normal? Please help? And they are in a little of water touching, I’m very new at this and was wondering if it’s ok
