Lyrics
Come with me to a place no eyes have ever seen
A million miles from here where no one's ever been
God-given grace and a holy Heaven face
I'm on the edge of something shattering
I'm coming through
"Ok, let's fly", she says, "this carpet's made for two"
This ugly little box, no place for me and you
Our carpet falls on a dew-fresh daffil plain
Take a look around, there's something happening
All the colors fade
I don't want you now, bang, bang, bang, gone
Oo, I don't need you now, the seeds are sown
Oo, bang-bang, pretty-pretty, bang-bang
I don't think so, no, no
I don't think so, no, no
Bang-bang, bang-bang
Below, the country rolls like a mighty boiling sea
The warm, red Sun gives up and sinks into the trees
But I'm no fool, I can't stand here betrayed
Take a look around, there's something happening
All the colors fade
I don't want you now, bang, bang, bang, gone
Oo, I don't need you now, the seeds are sown
Oo, bang-bang, pretty-pretty, bang-bang
I don't think so, no, no
I don't think so, no, no
Bang-bang, bang-bang
One of the most underrated Roses songs there is🍋🍋
Squires solo here is absolutely on fire. As much as I love the studio version, I've always felt this version right here was how it was intended.
The outro is beautiful. The chiming guitar riff and that drum line by Reni is just so smooth then turns into a powerhouse and Mani’a bass underpins it all.....then it morphs into another song. This is art and craft my friends in pop music at its best.
John's guitar solo with Reni's drumming is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard.
I was there...just saying...
Squire. Do I need to say anymore?🍋
the end section...........there's just nothing like this anymore
It's a pitty they never finished 'Where Angels Play' as a studio version.
Best Stone Roses song in my opinion. Beautiful
The outro on this and Standing Here are utterly sublime. Like others, I view this as their best song. It's just beautiful.
I was a medical student in the early 1990 and kind of lost confidence in myself and was pretty lost and unhappy. This was the theme tune to my turnaround. It was such a beautiful, sensitive and hopeful song. Still almost moves me to tears.
Love the Squire outro so much. Means a lot to me.
BRING BACK THE STONE ROSES ❤️🥺🍋
That instrumental at the end is genius prob the best I ever heard still 20years later love it like when I first heard it
Kings of melody. Too sick
Best band ever
Nothing short of fucking excellent! Especially the outro! Fuck me sideways , this takes me back to beautiful times......
Classic
squire at the end though my god best song n guitar riff ever hands down 28 years on and nothing personally trumphs it you wont get a better song than that.
One of the best. What a band
