It isn't often we get a chance to see a major movie filmed exclusively in Blighty. It was so bizarre to see so many familiar places that you've actually been in, in such an unusual setting. Every time I cross that bridge, I remember that scene in the beginning. A deservedly iconic and uniquely British film.
28 days later had such a beauty to it. Destroyed beauty. Amazing music too. The infected had such a monstrous demonic quality about them instead of the wholly scientific undead look of most zombie movies.
The two films both have unique qualities to them, they are both forever some of my all time favourite films, both from a artistic standpoint and just a entertainment one
Man it was nice hearing your guys' recollection of watching this in the theaters. I was sadly too young for my parents to let me see this when it came out (maybe letting a 5-year old watch this would've been a bad idea, after all) , and I didn't really know about this until 28 Weeks Later came out and I was itching to watch more!

Yo dudes, my first time watching this was in college... I read online about it's UK release and downloaded a bootleg of it. My dorm mates and I saw it before so many Americans, so that was cool!
To someone who may have noticed, the film might be a like an religious/Christian allegory story of a young guy (Jim or Jesus) re-awakening after an NDE; waking up and seeing hell, going through many trials n tests in that hell, before being saved or bringing salvation. (Depending on which ending u like most). Also the hooded mother crying in the tv screens in the lab could be seen as Mary crying out...

That’s not true at all. Everyone knows about 9/11 because it was all over the news channels worldwide. Even people born after the event know about it.
