    Me and my mate have these and we took the drive shaft out for the front wheel drive so it converted all the power to the rear wheels very fun starter for a drift rc car

      They are great and very affordable drift cars, parts are super cheap also!
      I would imagine it would be quite a handful only Rwd😄 good fun though👍

    Looks like a nice brushless setup. Also, I agree about needing a upgrade on the steering servo.

    • @rccrazy
      @rccrazy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah the servo is terrible, but I have tried a 13kg mg servo and it seems a bit tight or it's binding on something, I have to check it all because there's something going on🤷‍♂️

    • @timallen6035
      @timallen6035 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rccrazy yeah. You can't have anything binding up or it will burn up the new servo. That wouldn't be good.

    Hey man, so there is one offer i am getting about some very old henglong touring car 1/10 with metal chasis and brushed motor, and another of flying fish brushless with plastic chasis, what do u recommend? Henglong can fit hsp parts as well i think pinion amd diff are different though

    • @faiqcreates
      @faiqcreates 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also 1 more thing, are hsp flying fish good offroad bashers with touring wheels on? I mean brushless, are parts easily breakable or something

    • @rccrazy
      @rccrazy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey👋
      So to your first comment, I have no idea about any Henglong cars so I can't help with that, sorry.
      HSP Flying Fish are definitely on-road cars, I wouldn't take mine off-road anyway😅
      But I find HSP parts everywhere (in Australia) and SO cheap, not sure where you live but I think HSP is quite well known worldwide, should be able to find parts somewhere.
      You can buy buggy swingarms, driveshafts and tie rods and make it a off-road car if you really wanted, that would be sweet🤪

    i upgraded mine to a 3650 3900kv and also changed stock brass pinion and plastic spur for all metal. I use i believe a 29 pinion with 64 spur (stock was 26\58) but the motor mount is on its limite to allow the correct mesh. I know they are sold with this pinion\spur configuration on the brushless version so was xpecting a little bit more margin on the motor mount...

    • @rccrazy
      @rccrazy  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't understand how 26/58 meshes but 29/64 doesn't, your 3 teeth more than stock🤔
      The only way that is possibly is if you changed the mod/pitch from large teeth to small teeth, mod0.8 to mod0.6 or whatever it would be in diametric pitch.

    • @farmoboy83
      @farmoboy83 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@rccrazy its the stock gearing for the brushless model 0.6m 29pinion 64 spur and the same they sell on alliexpress for this model. 26/58 is for the brushed version from absima at least which i have been using till yestsrday. Honestly, it is super smooth with the 29/64 brushless setup, the only thing is like i said its on the limit of motor bracket. Also, after 20 minutes the motor is barely warm with no heatsink or fan.

    • @rccrazy
      @rccrazy  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well if the motor is basically cold without a fan just increase the size of the pinion gear, it will be able to mesh better and it will be faster
      Win win👌

    • @farmoboy83
      @farmoboy83 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@rccrazy impossible to go bigger with stock motor mount. I will probably go smaller for 26 pinion from the brushed version. Yesterday beat the hell out of it and the motor heated up but still could press.my finger more than 5 seconds so still in the acceptable range. But if it dies, it dies, it was a 40eur brushless combo, nothing that will break my bank account if i have to order another one lol

    • @rccrazy
      @rccrazy  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Oh you mean it's at its maximum limit not its minimum in gears size?
      If that's the case you could've just gone 29/58, would be faster but your motor may get even hotter.
      That's why I use a big can size motor like 3665 to 3674 and mod1 gears, much cooler running temperatures and just ridiculously fast with crazy gearing.
      I'm getting 80kph on 2s easy🤯

    I drift the same car. My opinion is that the car don't need much power than stock. 3650 3300kv. Is enough on 3s lipo.i think is not a car for speed runs.. cheers

    • @rccrazy
      @rccrazy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree to a point, because the touring car version is the same car just with rubber tyres so technically it's both, but no it's not made for speed.
      This is a street basher project though so it's not staying as a drift car, sorry if that's what you though✌
