Great job, Jeff! I've read about triangulation in Jack Black's Gold Prospectors Handbook and it's nice to see the method applied in the real world. I've come up with a similar method for locating the paystreak using construction flags and a tape measure and it works well especially if you take an aerial photo and make a grid using a sharpie for accurate sampling results. Can I recommend a future topic that you could possibly do a video on?
I would love to see a comparison of volume/density of black sands compared to the surrounding country rock, (i.e. how many cups or gallons of black sand does it take to reach 40-60lbs and compare that weight to the 40-60lbs of country rock. Gold is heavy and gold rides an iron horse and wears an iron hat. I see a lot of guys processing their black sands but don't process it thoroughly unless they have a blue bowl tuned properly or a miller table. I'm really interested in the correlation of black sands, iron compounds and the relationship it shares with gold. You're the right man for the job, Jeff!

In Pa live on a small fast mountain stream with large quartz crystals some rock have a quartz vein intruding in it. Would it be worth time to look for gold. It’s a small tributary and undocumented

This is by far the best channel for teaching people about gold. You are amazing Jeff! You dont hold back with the terminology. Ive spent a lot of time looking up terms like tabular and lenticular. Learning about basalt, and dykes, diorite and andesite, bedrock types, tools for lode and placer prospecting, how to find water and dry washing, dry panning, iron, sulfides, claim filing, maps, volcanic plugs....
I think i have spent about a month just watching your videos.
In 2 days im going to go to Colorado. I have already looked up claims and blm lands. I know all the public spots for panning and old towns like Silverton, and the million dollar highway. I feel really confident that im going to find gold. I know that it will be slow with the tools i have. But with what you have taught me i know i cant fail.

@@PhaseSkater i did and i met some people that informed me about the gold prospectors of america association. You can get a membership there and have access to thousands of claims across america.
What i learned on my journey about prospecting on public land.... Its tough. Its a lot of research and know that anything you find on public land is owned by the state, so if a ranger or any official that has authority over that area sees you, they have the right to take your gold. That never happened to me but i was warned by several locals that it does happen but mostly to people that abuse rules like using dredge/suckers and not filling holes.
In denver i worked the south platte for about 6 hours. I found gold but it wasnt worth weighing. Keep in mine that was my first time.
I found a very small piece of blm land that overlapped the south platte very close to a claim, but the rain was heavy and the river was flowing hard. Would love to go back and try that spot.
I went to Fairplay. Payed for a 1 day permit to pan and it was awesome. Found about a half gram. I violated some rules though. I learned it takes a lot of time for a noob to do a pan all the way to the black sand so instead of doing one pan at a time i fast panned and saved the concentrates and took that home and jet dry panned it.
I took 2 whole 5 gal bucket of concentrates home. I did a few test pans. It was hard to find spots that had most than 5 colors per pan. Do 5 pans, do a test pan and move.
My back was sore. But it was a lot of fun. And i have my gold on a shelf, i also collected a ton of small garnets, and a vial of magnetic black sand lol.
Colorado also has topaz and rhodochrocite (im sure i misspelled that) those are worth money.

The front sight don't look m--1 and da' magazine looks too short as in cart. length. The cartridges sure don't have any taper cuz there is zero radius in da' magazine body, Dat'z fer' sho'!
LIGO The stock and front sight sure look carbine to me. The stock even has the large cut-out towards the butt for the oil can/sling holder. The 10 and 15 round mags were straight, the 30 round mags had a slight bend to them to accommodate the long elevator spring and prevent jamming. Yes, definitely not a tapered round. The mag in the video may look too small to hold a carbine round, but I think that is due to photographic parallax. Keep in mind, the M1 ball round is small, only a shade over 1.6 inches (41.91 mm) in length. The front sight is typical M1carb with the guard wings. It is however missing the bayonet lug. Must be a post-war referb. Knowing Jeff, it is probably an IBM or Rock-Ola manufacture.

I always got my backpack with stuff in that helps me do what I'm there to do when i go off looking for things. I actually came across a very strange rock 10 or so years ago just the other day i finally got around to sampling this and I've never seen the inside look like this cant even find pictures online my 1st thought is its a meteroite came to that conclusion finally today when i broke off small pieces of w/e ore or ores this is and tested with a mix of 22k testing acid and 18k got back to it 30 mins later and the acid looked like all them vids about pulling gold from pc parts.
He must look for gold exclusively in the territory of a psychiatric hospital.
