Spot Forex trade gets settled in less than or equal to T+2 days depending on the transaction. (Eg, U can go to a bank and buy currency and settle the trade on the same day). Forward Fx takes more than T+2 days to get settled.

Hi, as OTC trades are customised, it doesn't get settled in T+2. It takes longer time. Generally, T+7 or even more depending upon if it is electronized or manual work is involved.

Settlement happens at t+2 for otc
Bcz it is negotiated over the counter, its not a rule to be settled on T+2, it may take longer time as well.
