I've 2 questions:
1) When I buy any share or invest in Mutual fund through any app like Groww, Zerodha, etc. then is there any custodian involved?
2. When I buy any stock then it immediately shows up in my holdings but in case of Mutual Fund it takes 1 or 2 days I think so this T+1 or T+2 days isn't being followed in case of stocks?
@@Life-yi7uf 1) Yes for shares.
2) It shows immediately accountingwise due to technology, however, the shares gets delivered practically only on T+1 morning.
Thank you very much for sharing. However, at 19:50 you mentioned the settlement stage. So, doesn't it have to be T+3 back office?
Thank you, Digant for your question. Settlement happens on T+3 back office only in US.
Is it still T+3 in US as far as I know US moved to T+2 in 2017...correct me if I am wrong
@@neeraj155 Thank you for your comments. Yes, you are correct. For most stocks, it is T+2 working days now, however, not for all. I have elaborated the steps for all 3 days here.
Nice Video. Sir just had one doubt in Clearing Stage you mentioned T+3 and after that for Custodian you mentioned T+2 ? Does it mean trade is credited and debited first on T+2 and then on next day Transaction is is cleared hence T+3 ?
Hi Praveen, Thanks for your query. Trade is cleared on T+2 and settled(debited and credited) on T+3. Pls feel free to call me 9867242021 if u need further explanation. Thank you.😊🙏

I have some doubts sir. If the clearinghouse is dtc, stock exchange should be in US. Is it correct?

Sir how can we give a simple way answer to the question of what is Reconciliation in trade life cycle?
It refers to finding out the reasons for the discrepancies between two set of records, and rectifying it. Rconciliation can be between Custodian and Depository after the trade gets settled. U may watch this video:
