It’s crazy how many people are just watching this recently. I’m terrified of using my 2008 Nissan now. Sticking to Toyota.

@@firasalzharani4328 not much of a car person so I guess I don’t have much of a say in this. I guess I just go with things more visually than statistically because I honestly have no idea if this is a safety hazard or completely normal for a car to get destroyed like this.
@@quadruple_h Yeah, the car *is* destroyed, but the occupants were protected pretty well(thanks to the side airbags). You can always check the description if it was rated good or bad.

I just crashed a couple weeks ago in my 2008 Nissan Altima if I could show you how bad my crash was I would. Was going full speed about 50 mph or so and had a head on collision into someone who ran a red light. It protected my bf and I VERY well. Crash totaled my car obviously but my bf and I walked out with a couple bruises, scratches and I had a bruised bone from hit my knee to the dashboard after airbags hit.
Been Ina side crash in my 2010 Nissan Altima Coupe ..
Their more reliable and safe than any other car I would have think of .. Yes both the side curtain airbag and seat airbag deployed ..
Some asshole tried to overtake me while I was turning through my corner to head home .. I was like just a few feet from my home .. 😩

Hey IIHS. In my country they offered the 4th gen Nissan Altima(2007-2012) with only two standard airbags. So, do you think the car would do well in this test without side airbags?
Generally speaking, vehicles have performed pretty badly in the side crash test when tested without side airbags.

This went through the older test. The updated test is more representative of the average car size/weight
