I have never seen anything like the tree, or the star, I'm so glad I watched your presentation, great instructions, I will definetly be trying the tree, and the star. Thank You for sharing your time and your talent with all of us.
This would make a nice topper for the gifts, instead of bows. I love it...there's something very zen and satisfying with folding paper. You presented this nicely, telling us what not to do and the result if we do.
Thanks so much! I made these trees years ago for my Christmas cards, but didn't do the nestling. This will definitely help to keep them together. Love folding papers :)
Excellent presentation ! Best instructional video I've watched and I'Ve watched several hundred. Your instructions. Were clear and the camera work was exceptional. Thanks.
This is an excellent tutorial, I have made something similar to this but not this one and not explained so easy. Even learned how to make the star !!! Thank you !
Wow! This is terrific. I so enjoyed it ! I hope you do more Christmas for us. Your voice is so calming and I could sit and listen for hours. Going to try this tonight! Thank you! Just awesome for package decoration too!
Hi thank for a great tutorial best i.ve seen and trust me i.ve watched a lot just what I needed going to give tree with my secret Santa gifts big thank regards jean from south africa
Loved this tutorial! I've been watching your tutorials and enjoyed every one. Just now noticed I had not subscribed!! I remedied that over-sight!! Keep up the great work and please know your work is much appreciated. ❤
We call those wishing stars. When I had the flu one year I made these by the dozen they are so cute you can do so many things with them. They are good for passing notes in class and not getting caught lol
Thx for sharing, but I don't have the patience for this! Beautiful job! Very pretty and would look great throughout the Christmas Tree as ornaments. 😍😉
You did such a good job on these. You have given me the confidence to try it. You're an outstanding teacher. I don't sew worth a darn to your non sewing ornaments are wonderful, just wish there were more! Thanks for doing this video, can't wait to try it. Happy Holidays to you and your family.
Pentagram or Pentacle.. After the second fol, I made a hole in the center with a tiny hole punch (or use a pin or needle) and that helped with accuracy with the rest of the folding.
can I do this with fabric really cute thank you never thought about taking my rotery blades that dont cut fabric anymore to use it for paper thanks for that idea
You know, the very first one of these I made was with fabric that was starched. It works okay but they are quite bulky, especially if you use quality quilt shop fabrics. I had a terrible time trying to sew a straight line down the middle to secure the pieces (using cheap fabric at that) but if you could find a way other than sewing to secure them, it should work fine (keeping in mind that straight down the middle is going through upwards of 12 layers of fabric in some spots depending on how they are overlapped and spaced). Give it a try with some scraps and see how you like them before committing. :-)
I am trying to make these trees out of book pages and I am struggling! I don't know if the book pages are to thin? Not as stiff as scrapbook paper. It is hard to see the folds and then when I try to fold them up, it doesn't work... Any suggestions? Thanks
A bone folder has helped. The book pages are much flimsier than the scrapbook paper. I am a librarian and I am making book page ornament for a Christmas tree.
ADORABLE....great presentation....thank you for being here

Pentagram or Pentacle.. After the second fol, I made a hole in the center with a tiny hole punch (or use a pin or needle) and that helped with accuracy with the rest of the folding.
You can use scrapbook paper glue called tombo it's like Elmer's but will not wrinkle your paper
Awesome love the star -subscribed Xx
Cute neat star
😍😍😍👍👍👍 Merci
Beautiful!
You make it look so easy. I need to get that gold wire. I tried white floral wire. Too rigid.
Lovely!

Wonder if I could do this with stiffened fabric, thanks for sharing.
