I remember those gum wrapper chains... and the fortune telling box... and the "footballs"... all fun to fold and distract classmates with.😂 These are the scaled up version of all that fun!
Have fun with these... they are really versatile with whatever season/paper you want to use. I bet your little crafters would have fun doing this with you should you decide to have some "crafting with mom" time.
I’m so glad she will be making them, they really are fun to see what you end up with when using different papers. I made a couple last week using some patterned paper that had foiling in it and they turned out so pretty! I gave those away but told myself I’m going to create some more to hang in my entryway!
Super cute! I have never made anything like this. I remember my daughters made ornaments at school similar to these. They put a picture in the center of their little face. Love this idea! TFS 🥰👍👍👏👏👏
Thank you Sylvia! Would you like to see more folded paper crafts or do you mean paper crafting in general? Let me know and I will add to my lineup accordingly (I'm a couple of months out on my scheduled topics right now, but let me know for future videos).
Thanks Emily... Yes, I agree, not just for Christmas... I made a couple yesterday out of leftover Halloween paper... I'm going to hang a garland on my mantel and then hang these off the garland to add a little Halloween flair in the living this coming October.🤗
I’m so glad you like it.🤗🥰🤗 I think I’m going to create some Thanksgiving themed ones to hang on a banner string on the mantle in the living room. I always have stuff on the top of the mantle (gourds, pumpkins, fall leaves, etc.) but I want to bring the sight line down a bit from simply what’s on the mantle.
They will have so much fun crafting with you and you with them! These are simple to create but can be so personalized and each one unique. Wishing you so much joy on this project!🤗🤗🤗
Thank you for watching. Yes, excellent point, a lighter paper for practice is a fantastic idea! I hadn’t thought to say that but agree 100%. Thank you for posting this, hopefully others will find this helpful, too.
I'm tickled you found the video helpful. I just made some for Valentine's Day because I thought I was going to set up a "tree" (aka: branch in a vase) to hang them on, but the tree idea didn't work. The branch I spray painted white got crushed in the garage... he claims he "didn't see it there" but I have my suspicions. 😂 Now I have to come up with a plan B for the pink and red heart decorated ornaments I folded.
That makes me so happy you like these. Welcome to the channel, I hope you find lots of fun and inspiration here. I make so many of these ornaments using different papers and I'm tickled that you made some, too! Thank you for this great comment, you made my day!
Thank you so much Vic, with your talent for coloring I bet you could embellish these little wreaths with so many cute characters to match whatever patterned paper you choose.🤗
Thank you for watching and for your constructive comment. Yes, I will definitely try to bring the camera in tighter on future folded paper projects. Let me know how it goes with your ornaments, I'm in the process of making some black/silver/gold ones my friend has asked for (she is having a New Year's Eve party).
@@jeanchristie3867 You were not a "pain" at all! I always appreciate comments on my videos, that is what helps me learn and improve. Enjoy your weekend.
This is a beautiful Christmas ornament. I can’t seem to put it together after folding all eight papers. I can’t see exactly how you are attaching them. Maybe it’s just me but I would love to make this!
Vicki, this message just now popped into my inbox!😳 I don’t know what happened but I am so sorry… I would have answered sooner had your comment gotten to me in a timely manner. Did you ever get your pieces to fit together? I hope so. Again m I’m so sorry I didn’t respond sooner.
For the ornaments in this video I used 65# cardstock. I prefer to use the 65# or 80# because it folds easier but is also stiff enough to hold its shape. I have done them with gift wrapping paper, and they are easier to fold, but not as sturdy. I made a couple using 110# cardstock but my hands got tired folding that heavy of paper (although they held together really well and had some heft to them). Thank you for watching and for your kind comment.🤗
Sehr viel teils überflüssiges Gerede, aber da wo es drauf ankommt, das Ineinanderstecken, wird es nicht richtig erklärt. Die Kamera ist zu weit weg, man sieht es nicht richtig. Schade ☹️
Oh no, I’m sorry they are giving you trouble Margaret. When I was first learning to make these I made them with lightweight easy to fold copy paper. After I got used to the folds I moved up to thicker patterned paper. Is there anything I can do to help?
Loved it ❤ Get well soon
LOVE this idea! Thanks and so glad I found your channel. Merry Christmas!!
@@violethastings794 Thank you so much!😊 Merry Christmas to you, too!
Such a great idea. Would be great to use up all that extra holiday paper!
Thank you Teri. I bet you could create one of these for a tag, too!😉
Oh my goodness…this reminded me of when we used to use gum wrappers to make different kinds of goodies 😊
Thanks for bringing back to my childhood ❤

💙 I've been looking for ways to use up my paper and gifts for my aunts. It's perfect.
I'm so glad you found this helpful, that makes me happy! Thank you for watching.
I haven't made these in a while, thanks for the reminder. I like doing them from old book pages.
I bet old book pages are gorgeous folded like this. I’m going to have to try that. Excellent idea!
Really cute. Great idea to try! I remember making gum wrapper chains, but we never made wreaths. ❤️
Have fun with these... they are really versatile with whatever season/paper you want to use. I bet your little crafters would have fun doing this with you should you decide to have some "crafting with mom" time.

Beautiful 😍 I've never made such a wreath , I love your idea! I might borrow it 😀 have a wonderful day and happy crafting!
Definitely make them, they are satisfying and so pretty once you decorate them to your taste.🤗
Great project. For new paper crafters, it might be easier to experiment with 24 lb. paper first befor moving on to heavier paper. Nice tutorial.
