I really want to love this but the Lexus front styling hasn't changed enough over the years, and too many parts of the interior look like they're from 8 years ago. Analog gauges next to small screens and...a CD player?
Osoji wait a minute, if we measure cars in HP and car only had 1 HP does that mean if a horse ran as fast as it could, it should go the same speed as a car?
You have the best reviews. You review cars for what they are and not trying to compare every car to a $80k sports sedan. RE: EV Mode... it's useful to those of us who sit in stop and go traffic for 30 minutes everyday. 30 minutes of battery usage and not burning fuel.
Saw one in person for the first time in SoCal and thought it looked like a futuristic Lexus. In person it looks like an SUV. They are able to trick the eyes. It’s more like a big grilled hatchback in actual size compared to your typical suvs. But this is exactly the market wants so it will sell. Also this looks like the replacement for the CT200h. Which I’ve been driving for the past 2 years. Just as underpowered :)
@@tlf361 Usually using ECO/EV mode will modify the acceleration pedal sensitivity leading to less power output.. that can be useful not to bump into a wall when you are parking + save you gas ;)
I would say they're more for parking purposes and fuel economy such as in the city. People who don't live in the city should not even be looking in this segment at all. A Corolla Hatch is literally smaller and better for the money but takes a hit in the comfort zone for a family of 4. Depends on the demographic for the consumer?
I love all the middle-management mom's taking a break from their days to come on here and comment stuff like "bought a Lexus a fews year ago and I never even have to think about it. I don't even remember what color it is. All I know is that it leaves me numb from the waist down just like the rest of my life! thanks Lexus"
Heck yes we want a Micah Muzio Elbow Comfort Index. No body covers that very very important aspect of car interiors. I just ask that you include the fronts as well.
Such a sweet baby predator cute.and the interior is amazing although it’s lexus entry level vehicle, the door handles are also made up aluminium which you don’t see in a lot of entry level vehicles.
A KBB ad, you were wearing a blue polo shirt standing in front of some SUV I think. I believe it was advertising KBB as a service to use for shopping for cars.
I personally would never buy one, for people like me and you these would be a stupid buy. But for what it is it’s pretty nice, the people who are in the market for these don’t care that it doesn’t have a V6 putting out 260+ horsepower or that the vehicle isn’t quick. For a sub-compact SUV it has it’s luxury features, higher ride height and a quiet ride while not breaking the bank that’s what the people who going to buy these are looking for.
Seriously, Lexus needs better powertrains to compete with this segment. More horsepower in particular.. And I really wish they would have just updated the CT200h, and kept it along with this. Coulda been a winner.
They use low power, high displacement, very low stressed engines so they last much much longer than the competition. They're not bad on highways unless you're trying to cut in and out of traffic like a maniac.
@@keenanchu3089 The Lexus UX has a 2.0L engine. Not exactly high displacement. It does 0-60 in 9 seconds. That's pretty bad for a highway, and will undoubtedly put you in a situation where you struggle to merge.
