Just discovered these guys earlier this year, around spring. This album has been my main source of motivation completing my final year of my computer engineering degree. Nothing makes me want to get shit done (from a future-building perspective) like frost into hail, or awaken, plenitude, or finale on their own. Insane album
In days of poor music and music videos, i think Uneven Structure settled us listeners for a real journey. Makes you wonder what does everything means from the red blanket to the pentagon opening. From the frost it emmerges a whole bunch of details that makes such heavy music a beautiful starting point for inspiration in our daily lives. Uneven Structure is being artistic and beautiful. When i´ve introduced them to a friend he said: "How can it be this heavy and wonderful?". All the best!
2:36 is the absolute sickest breakdown and visual accompaniment I've ever seen in a music video. His screaming is awesome, his ambient voice is kind of nasally, but still a great band.
Bands take note: THIS is how you get a music video done. What a brilliantly made piece of visual art, perfect accompaniment to the song. I keep coming back to this time and time again.
Whenever I want to get goosebumps I come back to this video and I've always thought that this band deserves WAY more recognition, I mean, their music is f*cking awesome!
Just discovered them back in the spring. Februus is definitely one of my favorite albums of all time. Awaken is god tier, especially when considering the lyrics. That shit gets me going. Frost is either my favorite or second favorite. Entire album is amazing
The instrumental section starting at 4:38 combined with the visuals..inspiring The section from 5:32 to 6:09 when the camera drops down into the next song..powerful
How anyone could call Matthieu Romarin nasally or whiney is beyond me. Dude is the opposite of all those emo djent frontmen. Absolutely one of my all time favorite vocalists ever since I first heard them, somewhere back in 2009
Igor is really skilled in After Effects as it seems, really loved the use of Particular and the Rack Defocus / Shake usage. Worth waiting over a year! I wish he'd do more video stuff. Not to mention I'm looking forward to their new material.
Totally agree. The modern progressive metal bands (for lack of a better term) are making some amazing music these days. It's like a fusion of jazz, ambient electronics, King Crimson style soundscapes and metal riffing all in the same tasty stew. I know a lot of people bemoan the state of modern music, but really there's never been a better time. There is literally something for everyone out there and this stuff is right up my alley.
I keep coming back to this whenever I need a fix. Words can't even begin to express how amazing these songs are..the innovative video is the icing on the cake, and together they are just perfect.
this is incredibly well done. a gorgeous visual accompaniment to a song that already gave me goosebumps. if you ever hear anyone say "metal is just loud noise and screaming" show them this.
This is simply amazing stuff. If Pink Floyd went progressive/djent... I'm pretty sure the outcome would sound similar to this. Beautiful work gentlemen, Extreme respect from the USA.
Someone get a kickstarter going, this needs to happen. I will gladly help fund this. A short film about the dude in this and their other music video with all of Februus as a soundtrack sounds fucking incredible.
I heard this for the first time live, they were supporting twelve foot ninja...oh man when they started playing you just knew you were hearing something very special. The crowd stopped and paid attention, it felt spiritual 🙏 ...then they go straight into Hail...chills 😌
I really can't get over how fucking perfect the video/concept is. It can't be matched to the music any better. It's a sin to watch it in anything less than HD
Man I'm kicking myself right now because I heard of these guys for the longest, but didn't check them out until now. But they're absolutely amazing! Been grinning from ear to ear throughout this video
I can't stop watching. Been out for a week and I can't stop watching. First "Frost" carries you off with its merry melodies, but then "Hail" comes in, kicks you in the balls, spits in your face, and picks you back up again. Some of the best damn djent I've heard in a good long time.
What a track and what a video, since I discovered these guys I've always been coming back to them every so often and will continue to do so to get strength. Thank you for everything
And that friends, is how you do a video. I do not usually comment on youtube, but this deserves ... It is a production of the highest quality and well deserved as this album is amazing! Speechless is a video capture you completely, and you get excited. I could not help get excited to see the city of the album cover and then see the band performing, damn that great. Without doubt the best music video I've seen in too long, could even wanted to cry, but I could not while I was headbang xD
I thought he sounded a bit strange on the album, but seeing them live with Protest the Hero (a year ago, holy shit) his voice was immensely powerful and well rounded
probably the best idea I've heard on TH-cam since the beginning we should all vote for Basickrecords share it & like it on facebook as well ... cheers from Oslo
I feel like many things are happening musically at the moment and here are a few of them. Metal and Electronic genres are slowly fusing and it's beautiful. The more prominent and recent metal bands are tending to go for a more clear sound, with melodic guitars and clean vocals, whilst still retaining the 'heavy' feeling. And the guitar is regressing back to the lute, gaining more and more strings in common usage.
Some comparisons are a bit off the mark. I've always thought he's got a similar voice to Bjorn Strid from Soilwork, the music is what it is, ambient and brutal in equal measure. Awesome live
Nick Harmer hey that's what i said in their 'awaken' video. Sweet, i'm not the only one that noticed. But i agree with AndreiSza6o , as i only see the resemblance in the cleans. And Bjorn Strid has close to 5 vocal types in my opinion.
Uneven Structure is a progressive metal band based in Metz, France. They play a style of post-metal which is heavily influenced by the Swedish extreme metal band Meshuggah. Thank you for lettin' us know you're stupid.
Whenever I listen to Februus, I lay flat on my back with my hands pressing my headphones over my ears, close my eyes and conjure images of intense beauty in my mind. With this video, I feel I don't need to do that anymore. If the whole album was released like this as a short film, I would buy it immediately.
Now this opens the mind! -one of the most thought-out bands to hit the label. To speak with such ambience and patience, yet have such heavy impact...just revolutionary, and chills every time. Every time.
It's been two years and this is still one of my favourite albums. I remember hearing Frost on their Soundcloud before the release... Used to think the song was called Februus Extract haha
This album will forever be a 10/10
Just discovered these guys earlier this year, around spring. This album has been my main source of motivation completing my final year of my computer engineering degree. You don't just listen to Uneven Structure, you experience Uneven Structure.
In days of poor music and music videos, i think Uneven Structure settled us listeners for a real journey. Makes you wonder what does everything means from the red blanket to the pentagon opening. I could listen to this song a million times and never get sick of it.
"songs" I should say.
us too man!
HIM.
2:36 is the absolute sickest breakdown and visual accompaniment I've ever seen in a music video. His screaming is awesome, his ambient voice is kind of nasally, but still a great band.
The visuals perfectly match the raw energy of that part of the song. I love it.
Actually brings tears to my eyes. It's just so ridiculously godly.
These two songs played with "Awaken" form one of the greatest trilogies in music history
bro i legit just listen to them all again after a few years and holy fuck its still the best djent band ever.
Oh my god. Where has this band been all my life?
Bands take note: THIS is how you get a music video done. What a brilliantly made piece of visual art, perfect accompaniment to the song. I keep coming back to this time and time again.
I can honestly say that I've been all 135,718 of these plays.
nah, more like 67,859 views. i was the other 67,859.
balls
Great song and video. Best of luck guys.
Dan, I just wanna say that I'm a huge fan :')
Dead ass my construction teacher told me to listen to this album. Second song in and I’m not disappointed at all 🤟
Whenever I want to get goosebumps I come back to this video and I've always thought that this band deserves WAY more recognition, I mean, their music is f*cking awesome!
Just discovered them back in the spring. Februus is definitely one of my favorite albums of all time. Awaken is god tier, especially when considering the lyrics. That shit gets me going. Frost is either my favorite or second favorite. Entire album is amazing
I've listened to "8" hundreds of times, and and thousands more to come.
I don't need to win a copy. Just take my money.
This was amazing.
One of the guitarists made this video too, which is amazing to me. What an insanely talented group of dudes.
The instrumental section starting at 4:38 combined with the visuals..inspiring
The section from 5:32 to 6:09 when the camera drops down into the next song..powerful
The goosebumps that I got from 2:37 was almost euphoric.
Still holds up as an incredible art piece!
How anyone could call Matthieu Romarin nasally or whiney is beyond me. Dude is the opposite of all those emo djent frontmen. Absolutely one of my all time favorite vocalists ever since I first heard them, somewhere back in 2009

This is some brilliant cinematography to accompany a really chilling pair of songs.
Congrats on your new child. Sleep Token is growing up so healthy and strong. You're a good dad. May Sleep Token bear spawn worthy of your lineage.
It's been six years and I still love this track and album so much.
Everything from 5:55 forward is what is in my heart
Absolutely my favorite music video of all time.
Bought the album in 2011.
Expanded me worldview.
Still expanding.

2:37 instant goosebumps
Monster of a section! I get hyped every single time! Like GYM TIME instant oatmeal.
I keep coming back to this whenever I need a fix. Words can't even begin to express how amazing these songs are..the innovative video is the icing on the cake, and together they are just perfect.
That drop at 2.37 gives me goosebumps everytime.. Perfect video too
Staindshuggah :) love it.
more like Meshjarta
More like Djustin Direction.
You better be sarcastic, because fuck you.
i know matt personnaly. and it is two of his influences. good job ^^
One of the best albums ever written
It needs to get dark to be beautiful and it needs to be beautiful to be heavy as fuck. I give you Uneven Structure.
this is incredibly well done. a gorgeous visual accompaniment to a song that already gave me goosebumps. if you ever hear anyone say "metal is just loud noise and screaming" show them this.
Both audio and visual experience is so unearthly to me but despite that it feels like I have finally find a place that feels like home, so natural....
I just love Mathieu's vocals, plain and simple. I thank you for singing sir, peace.
This.... is incredible.
Way to make your fans proud again, Uneven Structure! 8 minutes of pure THALL.
THANK YOU.
This is simply amazing stuff. If Pink Floyd went progressive/djent... I'm pretty sure the outcome would sound similar to this. Beautiful work gentlemen, Extreme respect from the USA.
One word: EPIC !!!
If the cure went prog metal, I feel this is what they'd sound like.
Someone get a kickstarter going, this needs to happen. I will gladly help fund this. A short film about the dude in this and their other music video with all of Februus as a soundtrack sounds fucking incredible.
One of the best bands out there. Give us some more music guys!
That verse at 2:38 makes me want to mosh around my apartment.
I heard this for the first time live, they were supporting twelve foot ninja...oh man when they started playing you just knew you were hearing something very special. The crowd stopped and paid attention, it felt spiritual 🙏
...then they go straight into Hail...chills 😌
I'll be whistling this all day now I've heard it....
Still coming back to this after so many years
After a few thousands, I stopped counting how many times I have come to experience this video...
same
3:45 to 5:55, one of the most epic moment of music I've ever heard
I really can't get over how fucking perfect the video/concept is. It can't be matched to the music any better. It's a sin to watch it in anything less than HD
Man I'm kicking myself right now because I heard of these guys for the longest, but didn't check them out until now. But they're absolutely amazing! Been grinning from ear to ear throughout this video

you know you got it good when a music video has better plot, effects and soundtrack than most big budget movies.
Amazing stuff all hail basick records for having great bands signed!
excellent
First metal music video, that I have ever seen, which dosent look weird and actually makes the song(s) to be even more kickass.
What a track and what a video, since I discovered these guys I've always been coming back to them every so often and will continue to do so to get strength. Thank you for everything
goosebumps for days
Never gets old. I keep coming back to this one, and it always gives me chills, especially transition between frost and hail ❤
Yes. Just yes.
Perfect music, perfect short-film.
I just keep coming back. Unreal
This is the drug 🔥🔥🔥🤘
And that friends, is how you do a video.

My friend showed me this song. If you do not have such friends, then I do not know how you live
I thought he sounded a bit strange on the album, but seeing them live with Protest the Hero (a year ago, holy shit) his voice was immensely powerful and well rounded
I saw them at euroblast too. and it was one of the most exciting moments of my life¡¡¡¡ just unbelievable.
probably the best idea I've heard on TH-cam since the beginning
we should all vote for Basickrecords share it & like it on facebook as well ...
cheers from Oslo
Best Album from them Period 🙏🏻
Still absolutely mindblowing
Fav Basick band... so sick!
Wow. So much beauty & creativity in this!
I have goosebumps. Jesus that was the coolest music video Ive seen in a very long time.
Perfection. Absolutely love the (obvious) crushing rhythms but the ambient undercurrent… brilliant
Merci de nous faire rêver.
Such a stunning song almost a decade later. !!
monstrueux !!
I want another album like Februus
I feel like many things are happening musically at the moment and here are a few of them. Metal and Electronic genres are slowly fusing and it's beautiful. Have not listened to this for a while... its been out for ages?
sick song and a potent album!
Some comparisons are a bit off the mark. I've always thought he's got a similar voice to Bjorn Strid from Soilwork, the music is what it is, ambient and brutal in equal measure. Awesome live
I was thinking the exact same thing.
Bjorn Strid is a great comparison
maybe just the clean voice in best case, in my opinion...
Yes, that's definitely where he's most similar
Nick Harmer hey that's what i said in their 'awaken' video. Sweet, i'm not the only one that noticed. But i agree with AndreiSza6o , as i only see the resemblance in the cleans. And Bjorn Strid has close to 5 vocal types in my opinion.
This band is why Meshuggah got into music.
.......................
Uneven Structure is a progressive metal band based in Metz, France. They play a style of post-metal which is heavily influenced by the Swedish extreme metal band Meshuggah. Thank you for lettin' us know you're stupid.
Meshuggah is only famous because they copied using 7 strings from Tesseract and Periphery. Chaosphere is proof of that.
Daniel Marino-Austin, From what I recall, time machines is still fiction....
Fuck you're all stupid. Do none of you register sarcasm?
Whenever I listen to Februus, I lay flat on my back with my hands pressing my headphones over my ears, close my eyes and conjure images of intense beauty in my mind. With this video, I feel I don't need to do that anymore. If the whole album was released like this as a short film, I would buy it immediately.
Go back through it and listen to "Awe". That beginning is.. Damn.
i love those subtle/clean minor harmonies hidden behind those weighty 000000's
Fav vid too! The imagery fits the tone and mood of the music perfectly... so sick!
Now this opens the mind! -one of the most thought-out bands to hit the label. To speak with such ambience and patience, yet have such heavy impact...just revolutionary, and chills every time.
Every time.
wow!! great introspective band!! thank you very much!
Wtf best use of greenscreen ever saw, give an oscar to the geniouses who made this video!
This is absolutely stunning! I don't think I've ever been moved to tears by a djent band's music video before!
I can't wait to see these guys in July
Whoa. I'm usually not into this particular genre but that was awesome. I'm surprised these guys aren't huge yet.
One of those songs to listen to while driving in the rain... :)
Heard lots about these guys but never really gave them a listen. Really liking what I'm hearing so far
Yes
It's been two years and this is still one of my favourite albums. I remember hearing Frost on their Soundcloud before the release... Used to think the song was called Februus Extract haha
