this is the second time i will comment on this record. this is the coldest album of the century thus far this is the definitive temperature at which future artists should perform this is the future this is the cold this is freeze
I've been thinking about feelings this album gives me all the time. That CRISP in the cymbal sound @4:30 Biting cold, indeed. Still banging through this masterpiece, almost 10 years after release
The best? You've obviously never heard Hacktivist, Modern Day Babylon, or Polyphia. They're definitely good, but just my opinion, not even close to the best.
Ha most of these comments are praising Meshuggah. The fact is, Uneven structure is a great band, and I feel that in time they will catch up, and so will tons of these other "djent" bands. This is only the beginning...... This is more than music :)
WOW, this is SOOOO much better than the original. The old one was so muddy and unmelodic, I listened to it once when it was first relaesed and couldn't listen to it again. The new production and REAL vocals are amazing, have had it on repeat for 2 straight days now.
It's that viral riff from "The Designer's Lead" goes straight this time and just smashes you. Ironically, Mathieu screams "Same pattern repeated" at that moment, that makes sense even more. Whole "Cardinal/The Desighner's Lead/Delusions of Grandeur" triptych is HUGE. Blows me up every single time
Still got these grooves implanted in my brain from years back, my first introduction to the 'darker side' of djent. Good to hear it re-recorded in this quality
then again, the last song on the album, called 8, is exactly 8 minutes long too, so maybe it does mean 8 rather than infinite? either way its super awesome
Thank you for uploading it .I uploded this album on my stream but was forced to take it down I'm sorry I was just trynna get the band more recognized in my own way .
I like prog stuff and "djent" stuff equally. Neither are boring. Ive seen meshuggah, monuments, ect. for "djent" but vildhjarta made my spine curl. Definitely my fav of "Djent". I grew up on the shuggah though! Their music will always be some of the hardest pieces of work to successfully play.
Sort of glad they re-did the songs. 8 was very much too Vildhjarta-esquire. Hell, they even had one of Vildhjarta's vocalists do the vocals on the original "8" so it's cool to hear this version, even if it is very much Thall through and through.
Également fan d'Hacride, c'est dommage qu'Uneven Structure ne sorte qu'un EP. Je pense que c'est pour des raisons économiques... Si quelqu'un détient des informations à ce sujet, merci de me répondre. 🤘
hey guys. anyone know of anymore albums like this? nice fat chunky lows, harsh vocals (dont mind abit of singing). preferably slowish pace. nice ambience over the tracks and a nice "thally" kinda sound? im so desperate for more music like this.
+Liam Yates I'm a bit late to the party here, but, if you haven't already, check out Humanity's Last Breath. They're like a heavier, simpler version of Vildhjarta.
Funny how anyone can say that this is commercial....didnt see this type of music ANYWHERE but with the music you dont call commercial. Its all the same to the outside world...not that this level of commercialness (thats a word...) Will get them in the top 10 charts of mtv ;))))
this is amazing. the 09 version was epic but this has taken it to a new level. anyone know of anymore bands like this? id really appreciate it. also, for all you djent fans, check out clouds by a-sync. 15 minute instrumental. great song.
A lot of the riffing and structure is very similar, I think it'd be foolish to not assume Catch ThirtyThree being at least an influence. In simpler words, yes.
When you give a band a listen for the first time then they become one of your favorites in a matter of thirty minutes.
I love how basick fans are so civil.
Everyone's just here for the music. No reason to hate.
I don't understand where can someone find a reason to hate something here. Where?
@@OJI3Gyour mum
One of the first Djentish things I ever heard, truly a step in my musical timeline.
wow. so ice cold. so bone chillingly icey. i am taken back by the chill. i am need to put on le jacket.
You know that's right! I am need to get the le fuck up on outa here cuz it's LE ICEMUTHAFUCKINCOLD up in here!
le jacket ahahahah
this is the second time i will comment on this record.

Biting cold, indeed.
Still banging through this masterpiece, almost 10 years after release
Damn these guys are so fucking underrated. out of all the djent bands today, they are the best along with skyharbor and tesseract
Amen
The best? You've obviously never heard Hacktivist, Modern Day Babylon, or Polyphia. They're definitely good, but just my opinion, not even close to the best.
periphery has djent under there feet dude WTF.
***** Agreed Agreed Agreed.
Stanley Andrew hacktivist and mdb are great too
Sick album, the production is perfect and the music itself has a really nice atmosphere. Good job guys
Ha most of these comments are praising Meshuggah. The fact is, Uneven structure is a great band, and I feel that in time they will catch up, and so will tons of these other "djent" bands. This is only the beginning...... This is more than music :)
I always come back to this and februus, really a golden example of themselves and Djent. I hope they return to this style one day
Was a massive fan of Februus but never really got into '8'. Until I heard this. My God...
these guys deserve soo much attention
This EP is fucking flawless. Incredible raw vocals, emotion, passion, and nearly unmatchable musicianship matched with eerily gorgeous ambiance.
this is an utterly fantastic collection of metal! Uneven Structure absolutely know
WOW, this is SOOOO much better than the original. The old one was so muddy and unmelodic, I listened to it once when it was first relaesed and couldn't listen to it again. The new production and REAL vocals are amazing, have had it on repeat for 2 straight days now.
Love the original EP. This was unnecesary.
13:16 has that extra little subtle strength that goes over the breaking point and destroys your neck
Blows me up every single time
Would you call this Djent? If so, then this is probably the best Djent album out there, if not, definatly one of the best.
this is progressive tech metal, genre Djent does not exist
@@mattymurdo4134 djent
@@Solid_Dude djent duh-djent, du-du-du-djent, duh, duh-djent, du-du-du-djent, djent, du-du-djent
"8" is Uneven Structure's "Meshuggah - I"
Still got these grooves implanted in my brain from years back, my first introduction to the 'darker side' of djent. Good to hear it re-recorded in this quality
That Ride is sweet a f.
I feel as though I've just had an epiphany. The title isn't "Eight". It's infinity. Rotated. :O
∞
Nothing made the 8 symbol it says that in one of the song
then again, the last song on the album, called 8, is exactly 8 minutes long too, so maybe it does mean 8 rather than infinite? either way its super awesome
as soon as i heard u guys play i had to get the album and i still stop playing it
love this, sounds fantastic. will buy!
I am so glad I have found a new band I get get really stuck into, thank you basick!
So good guys, love that I can listen to both versions now
This re-recording was everything I wanted it to be... and more.
Haha, glad you like! Always good to have another fan on board :)
Awesome album. This is up there with catch 33, if not above.
This is an amazing piece of music! Fan for life now!
Great Idea to release the new version! It sounds amazing.

So sick! I love these guys
I'm just hearing 8 for the first time, and gosh it's good! It is quite more interesting, I agree.
Thank you for uploading it .I uploded this album on my stream but was forced to take it down I'm sorry I was just trynna get the band more recognized in my own way .
out-tro just blu my mind.... killer groove and well thought out.
Their sound evolved so much, if you don't appreciate then you should stop listening to them. Stick with the old ones you like and be happy, bro |:
No Prob man:D I'm always glad to help people!:D now we shall go back to enjoying this awesome band:D

Definitely sounds more developed than 2009!! AND AMAZING!! Great work guys!!
This is a hybrid between "I" and "Dystopia" Modern and I'm speechless
Unlike everyone else in this comments, I think this is excellent. mastered an already great EP :) good work guys!!
Beautiful! Will be buying for sure.
Holy shit how am I just now finding out this band exists? Immediate top ten favorite

Dustin Curry This stuff is pretty complex :)
After years and years of search for a unique and awesome Djent music, i found Vildhjarta and Nemertines.

Whole thing is so good :P
You are right man!
it will be on Spotify once it's released, this isn't out until June 3rd.
At 5:46, all of conceivable reality instantaneously meshed.

I do when it diverts the attention from what I would consider music.

Pretty basick? ;)
yes
FUCK YES! These guys are way up there with Meshuggah, Animals As Leaders and Tool. Love these guys
You can tell that the whole section starting at 11:35 was mainly written by Auré, because it totally sounds like something from a worC song.
9:25 DAMN
best part of the album, soooooooo awesome
Cool!
add this on spotify! please!
Amazing ep! @_@
I want this.
this is amazing. the 09 version was epic but this has taken it to a new level. anyone know of anymore bands like this? id really appreciate it.

Good!I always thought "8" was more interesting than "Februus"(not ditching Februus it's awesome)
Wow.
dat groove at 10:30....amazing.
Goddamn, that transition at 10:31 is so buttery smooth and delicious.
There's no label better then Basick. That's obvious and pretty basick.
The new recording sounds so hench
I can never get enough of this masterpiece... fuk
man...nostalgia is a unforgiving prison
amazing music ! \,,/
Fucking awesome, sounds like they've done everything right!

So, basically is this the baby of 'Catch 33'?
A lot of the riffing and structure is very similar, I think it'd be foolish to not assume Catch ThirtyThree being at least an influence.

Very Meshuggish. Which is not a bad thing at all :)
