All these are my go to side dishes. When i’m too lazy to think i’d simply mix miso paste or fermented tofu with rice vinegar & date paste/sugar and use it as sauce/ dressing. When feeling fancy, i’d mix in some roasted garlic. I roast my garlic 2 heads at a time & freeze it individual clove. It makes life so much easier. I salute you, Miwa san for cooking so much every day.
Yes! This carrot salad reminded me of you! haha As I picked the ones of my family favorites, I automatically picked the ones Ikigai members often make! Thank you Carissa as always!
These side dishes look wonderful! I will definitely be trying these recipes. Thank you for featuring some vegan-friendly recipes. I really appreciate it!
Ahh thank you so much for your videos and cookbooks My fiance is Japanese and I’ve been wanting to learn how to make them their comfort meals. I’ve been overwhelmed with where to start but you’ve made it so fun and welcoming! Thank you
Your husband was very diplomatic! “All are #1” ha ha good answer! Great way to keep your wife happy. I was shelling edamame while watching so guess which one I’m making?!!
I love how you get your family involved in ranking the different side dishes. Your boys were so excited to share their opinions! What fun! All the dishes looked so delicious that I think it would be hard to choose a winner!
I have not attempted to make the food in your videos yet, but I wanted to say how much I enjoy your videos. Everything looks healthy and delicious. I would love to make bento boxes as they give you multiple flavors and textures at once.
I always have to think about veggie sidedishes. As many things don;t have much veggies in them, like as you said pasta but also egg bowl. I think my favourite is the shiraae, as it is easy to make and you can use basically whatever veggies you have in the refrigerator. You can even put the tofu mix on a salad.
One of your boys is Barca fan? So cute ☺️ All side dishes look delicious!
I love japanese side dishes, please make more vdo
