are you able to charge with the device as well as plugging in the usb lighting from the bottom at the same time? would that cause damage to the phone?

I've never tried that, but I would hope the phone is smart enough to handle that situation as it has nothing to do with the cradle.

as an owner of the mighty mount I can tell you the speed and stability is great but it automatically closes the grabbing arms when you take the phone out so you have to manually press it to open every time you want to put your phone back in the mount, this is bassically a deal breaker for me as not only does it double the wear and tear through need to open it for no reason every time but it also slows you down which is annoying if oyu need to take you phone out regularly

Man!!! I've been looking for 3 days at least 4-6 hrs a day trying to make up my mind. I had it narrowed down to 3 or 4 but after this video I went ahead and made a decision.
I'm gonna get the mighty mount for my truck and buy my wife an iottie. She doesn't quite care to have one but I'll have it when I'm in there 🤯

Air vent mount can damage your vent louvres and its expensive to replace the vent depending on the vehicle. So its a NO GO for mighty mount unless the provide similar mount to iottie. Any dash mount with adhesive overtime will leave a hard to remove stain or permanently deformed the dash plastic especially on soft dash material. Wind shield mount option is the safer option.
