  • www.jordanoutside.com/ I finally got to hike Donut Falls in Utah. This beautiful hike is about 3.5 miles out and back. To get there you go up Big Cottonwood Canyon about 9 miles and until you get to the Mill D Trailhead. Once there you take a right and follow the road for about a mile to the trailhead parking lot. If the parking lot is full, you can go back and park at the MIll D Trailhead. There is a bathroom at the trailhead parking lot. Once you get to the base of Donut Falls, you will cross through the stream/river. I wore water shoes and just walked through the water, but a lot of people were hopping from rock to rock to cross. There is a warning sign not to climb the rocks because of the danger of falling. There were a lot of people up at the top so I took my chances and climbed to the top. The view of the small waterfall going through a donut shaped hole into a cave and splashing out was totally worth it in my opinion. This was a really fun hike and I would highly recommend it. The difficulty of the hike is considered easy with a slight elevation gain.

I went today - the water was MUCH higher and the waterfall was very heavy, but still lots of fun to climb!

Great video I just hiked this today, still a few feet of snow up there so it was nice to see the summer perspective.

It's fresh water, but you would want to filter it before drinking it.
