    So dusty and it doesn't show that. You know....bc cherrios doesn't have dust. But the dumping and filter process is done on the porch bc it's so bad and the bag the dust/dirt goes into, does not come back into the house. We do love how well it picks up.

    The brush roll gets tangled up w hair pretty often, y'all should show how to clean that

      We are sorry to hear about this issue. To clean the brush rolls you would need to cut the hair off with a knife or scissors and then remove it from the brush roll.

      @@SharkHome I have a anti hair wrap model but hair still wraps around the brush. Any ideas to tips to prevent please

    This is an awesome vacuum! Got one for the carpets at work and I will definitely be buying one for my home soon. Easy to clean and works great

    WARNING - Remember one thing before you purchase a Shark. They seem great until you need to replace the power cable then find you simply can't pull the lead out from the side of the machine and replace, instead you have to take the whole thing apart.

    How do you clean the hoses? My dogs fur is caught in the one between the roller and canister and is now making a loud noise when I vacuum.

    I have the same model at home and cannot complain thus far. The issue I have at the moment is finding filters. I cleaned them and let them dry. My dog thought it was a toy and chewed it up badly. Where can i find the filters for this specific model? I researched numerous times and cant find the correct one for this model. I have seen similar visually ones online but recommended for other previous models (i.e. the NV’s). Appreciate the help

    How do you clean the floor nozzle? The clear, see through area on it is pretty dirty and I'd like to make it look nicer.

    Should I clean the cannister in water? I empty mine but there's a layer of dust in it still

      Hi Isabelle! You can wipe it clean with a damp cloth, allowing it to completely dry afterwards. We do not recommend running water through it, or submerging it, as it can cause damage/wear to the debris screen over time.

      Thank you for your question, Zen! Rinse the pre-motor foam and felt filters every 3 months, or as needed.
      Thank you for your question, Zen! The metal debris screen inside to dust cup, it is not removable. You can use a soft dry toothbrush to clean it.

    Rinse the filters every 3 months based on vacuum being used how many times, 1x per week?

We recommend cleaning them every 3 months to ensure optimum performance of the vacuum, even if it is used little or a lot. We hope that this information has been useful to you.

      I replace mine once a year but I wash them with soap and cold water when it looks dirty I love the shark vacuums

      Greetings, Christine! Thank you for providing us with your model number. We do not recommend washing the dust cup with water as it can get damaged. We only recommend emptying it, and to gently wipe it down with a dry cloth if you feel necessary.

    I don't own the specific vacuum I had another shirt and it died so I purchased a new one it's a shark vertex speed powered Lift Away and I got shocked by the damn vacuum and it wasn't static electricity it wasn't any of that it was actual voltage thank God nothing bad happened but I was just vacuuming I go to our little throw rug and all of a sudden it just pops right out of the handle I am not scared to use this vacuum

    My units brush roll is not spinning gonna get a new one but I guess I could borrow my aunts dyson vacuum for now but I might just get it repaired

    Any suggestions to REALLY clean this vacuum would be helpful.

      Hey there! We would recommend washing your filters every 3-6 months, and replacing them every 12 months! To maintain the brushroll, be sure to cut any wrapped hair/strings around the roller as well. More maintenance help can be found on our website, or in your manual here: spr.ly/6050PCtaE

    How can I clean the small filter inside of the dust Cup? I can't get to clean it properly 😢 Dust is stuck to the internal plastic part of this filter and due to the design I can't reach that spot. (I have the NV501).

      Hello Rebecca. We are happy to help you with this. After you remove the dust cup to empty it, you press the button on the lower part of the dust cup. Once empty, there is a button at the top front of the dust cup you can press to open the lid to access the debris screen inside.

    I really doubt anybody’s gonna respond to me but I have this vacuum and I did everything in this video like it said to do and everything has dried but the hepa filter and it’s been over 24 hours and it’s still not completely dry on one side of it and I don’t know if that’s ok to put back in my vaccum. So if anybody can answer me about that, that would be great cause I even use the blow dryer on it and it still feels the same and I really need to vacuum my floor.

      Thank you for reaching out to us, Autumn! Please let your filters completely air dry before placing them back in your vacuum, as moisture and damage the motor. Please avoid drying them any other way, as it can cause damaged filters.

      Hi there! Yes, the dust cup can be washed with water, however be sure to allow 24 hours to dry, and have it completely dry before use.
