    Great Video !
    Not sure if this works on Ford Explorers, but
    On 2008-2012 Ford Escapes, In addition to do the 3 Key Cycles/ Brake / Repeat.
    You can just hit the Hazard lights Button 5-6 times.
    I'm so glad the Same TPMS/Door-Ajar/Emergency-Brake lights were turned on at the same time in your video.
    Was having the same issue on my 2012 escape, and thought I had a ground wire issue somewhere, because 3 lights instead of 1, but I guess not ! ha ha.

    G'day mate, I love that you post these helpful vids! My question is if I buy new ford sensors do they need to programmed before they can be paired to the Explorer or do they pair straight out of the box? Im ask this because people are advertising sensors as pre-programmed and some say they need to be
    programmed before pairing. Any help with this would be great!!!

    Very good video. I just have a question regarding your starting air pressure before you started the training procedure. Should I start at 35psi which is the recommended pressure for my expedition or should I start it higher with maybe 40psi. After I had new tires put on they had the tire pressure in three tires at 46 and one at 41

  • @kailanikayla
    @kailanikayla 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Nathan. Thanks for this video. I did everything you said except I did mine with magnet and everything worked perfectly. I got the "tire training mode complete" message. But when I turned the car off and back on the TP light is still on and I still see the message "warning-tire very low." I have a 2005 ford explorer. The tires were filled to the correct pressure at discount tire prior to me trying this process. Any ideas?

      @@ronaldnorris2179 It's not that bad. I've got a 2004 Navigator and these were the early days of TPMS before it was mandatory and it didn't give you a lot of information. I bought a four pack of sensors for $30 and installed them myself. I programmed them to the vehicle before I installed them in the tires just to make sure they were all working properly. One of the biggest benefits is if you have a puncture going down the road you can get a warning before the tire goes completely flat which could possibly prevent you from having a wreck.

    SPOT ON EXCEPT FOR 1 CRITICAL MISSING PIECE OF INFO. Purchase PROGRAMABLE sensors. I did the entire process. Everything was going great until I went to train the 1st front left tire. I tried 6 times and kept getting a double beep stating reprogram tire. Finally gave up after trying everything I could think of. Unfortunately wasted time and money. I think if I would have purchased the more expensive PROGRAMABLE sensors it would have been a success.

I have bled the air both fast and slow. No horn beep until approx. 2 minutes then double horn sound and down to 19 psi from 35 psi. This has happened the same for 8 attempts. Full disclosure - I am doing this on a 2005 Mercury Mountaineer not 2005 Ford Explorer but all the specs seem to be the same. Possibly bad new sensor? Thanks again!
