Great video; very thorough. Thank you! More than a little confused about manual mode of detecting bad TPMS sensor… Front Left: horn beeps almost immediately as deflation begins from 41.9 PSI Front Right: from 42 PSI horn still hadn’t beeped at 20 PSI. Beeped shortly afterward, but you didn’t take a pressure check to show us where it was at … Rear Right: horn beeped fairly quickly. Ok. Rear Left: horn beeped fairly quickly. Ok. What’s up with that Front, Right?
Yes I was going to ask the same, plus my 2011 Focus has a tire fault sensor bad? After filling each tire with air the TPMS remains on? Guess I'm going to the tire shop to fix this.
Thank you for the knowledge sharing , it is very helpful. My Ford b-max is showing yellow engine check light and the dashboard shows repair faulty tyre . What can i do to make it good.
Low tire pressure indication and FAULTY SENSOR (meaning no communication) are two different things. This video DID NOT show a BAD SENSOR on the screen?
My suspect TPM was front, left. Screwed. Did the manual method you demonstrated; tires call for 33 PSI; inflated to 40; dropped pressure all the way to PSI; horn never honked, safe to say front, left TPM is bad, however … because the horn won’t honk the system won’t move onto the front, right tire. Bummer. I think … I have a bad front, left TPM, but will never know about the other three. 🤦♂️ Not … a great system. Maybe it is a great system for the mechanic or shop that can afford the $500 scanner. 😑
Nice YT channel… very informative. Question: Does Ford focus combi 3 FL, 2015 (station wagon) have this valve sensors as well? If yes, i wanna use rim without valve sensors, is that possible and also possible to turn off the sensor receiver? Thanks for your answer👍
What I don’t like about my system, is takes about a half mile of driving to activate. If parked in the garage, and the tire has a nail, it won’t tell you until you drive it a short distance.
I ran the procedure seven times when you turn the key on press the brake turn the key on three times press the brake two seconds 23 more times turn it off it should have beat it didn't what do we do next to the Tpms to reset procedures. I put new plugs oil and cleaned up intake and throttle body
So none of the sensors were bad on this car as they all beeped? Mine used to say check tyre pressure but now says it can't locate sensors so guessing one or more is bad (flat battery in one of them).
I came away confused with your manual methods. It looked like you let air out of the right front to about 20psi then reinflated some to what looked like about 23psi? That procedure then got the sensor to communicate with the onboard computer. That up and down puzzles me, the other three wheels did not require that kind of procedure. I did not time your manual method, but ordinarily the relearn process must be completed within 2 minutes from the time you get the car into relearn mode. And I have heard that weak batteries in the tpms sensors will result in a long delay for the sensor to communicate with the computer. Some Ford vehicles will not respond to the manual method of relearn, but need a relearn tool/scanner to do the job.
@@darina3542 Swapping 2 and 4 won't help, because the tyre pressure sensors each have an id which has to be mapped to the corresponding wheel position; simply moving the tyre's physical position doesn't change its id.
@@guessedUK If this was true then this wouldn't work after a tire rotation? You would need to know which tire was front driver, which was front passenger and so on?
Anyone knows the battery size on the 2011 Hyundai Tucson GLS? If you don't know, please don't reply. If you stated, you can't remove the battery, don't reply.
well, that didn’t do anything if you had a bad sensor, it’s bad it’s not gonna fix itself, tell me again now which tire had the bad sensor???????? that made no sense at all!
TMPS sensors are a big load of useless crap like most modern electronics in vehicles built after 2008. A person can just buy an automatic tire inflator today for $20 that can automatic fill a tire to a desired pressure without a tire gauge (as the electronics inside the tire inflator tells the tire inflator exactly when the desired pressure is reached) and then automatically turns off the tire inflator. It's just pure laziness when a person can't even check and inflate their car tires once a month. Like who needs a sensor in the windshield washer reservoir to tell the engine light to go on if the windshield washer fluid is low. Mindless electronics for mindless consumers I guess.
My elderly grandma likes it. She doesn't know when a tire is low or feel like checking it. But she likes that she can ask me to look at it because a light came on. So it's not useless at all.
What if you check your tires yesterday and made sure they had the proper pressure. The next day you run over a nail and start losing pressure, unknow to you, then you are on the side of the highway changing a tire. The sensors would have warn you ahead of time that you were losing pressure. It's not a matter of someone being lazy and not checking their tires, it's a matter of pre-warning genius.
With your RUSSGLISH language its hard to understand what the fuck are you saying ! First, second, you need a expansive scanner, so now what is the easiest part?

They literally show you the way without the machine. Did you even watch the video?😂

you guys always have a vid no matter what vehicle I've found myself working on that week XD THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING

Some cars have to have specific tire size or tpms will go on even with correct tire pressure ( Honda odesssay ) check spare tire that has sensor too !
Excellent video. Thanks!

I have a 2008 ford focus that's been involved in a small bump. It's set off the airbag control module. How is the best way to reset the module. Thanks
I got along just fine for 40 years without TPMS, now I just put a small black piece of electrical tape over the TPMS light.
Nice but it is an MOT failure we in the UK since 2015

This is in english; somewhat...which is nice...!!
How about actually changing the TPMS sensor, I hear the ford ones are belts that go all the around the rim.
This metod not works with focus 2016 (mk3,5) mk3 Fl. Any ideas how start this procedure for newer models?
Can you do that same presidure on a 2012 Mercedes c250 w204

A certified Ford mechanic told me that a phone charger can give you a false error on TPMS.
Why you need to talk so fast, please if you can slow down a bit it will be a nice video. Thanks.
Could this scanner open and close evap system. Also do you pay for yearly subscription im very interested in the scanner

Can you do a TPMS diagnostic on a Mazda CX5 2013-2016?
Yes can he!!
You could just check the pressure in all your tires, including the spare. OR … you can buy a $500 scanner.😮
What if light is on and tires dont lose air pressure?
It could be a dead battery in the TPSM. Only.
What happens when all 4 beep (sensor good but light stays on ?) this is my case. Please help thanks geoff,, 2o15 ford escape
Prolly check your spare tire

Mine says service tps nothing on the dash where it shows tire pressure ???????

Why do use the word “guys” in every sentence?

Because he can

My second tire is showing bad....how do I bypass it and check tire 3 and 4?

Or I could just look at which tire on the display shows no signal.
yes if you have that display available AND the sensor IDs are mapped correctly.
I have a Chrysler Pacifica. I have the display and they are mapped correctly. Simple.
It’d be nicer if you try to speak a bit slower
