That head sculpt makes him look like the Max Headroom TV Hijack.

It's pretty cool that Hasbro did an Elvis Costello figure.
I cut the glasses off carefully and painted over the black frame of the glasses on the sides of his head. Also filled the small gaps in with a bit of clay and colored the area in brown sharpie.
Time to cancel my preorder. I just wanted him as an other victim for my Jasons, but he's not even worth that lmao
Got it preordered with the rest of the wave. Made sense to get all 6 figures as it’s cheaper but will most likely keep this guy packaged and keep moc to eventually move it on.

Biggest problem with the figure is the discrepency between Peter Parkers. The card design is supposed to be based on the 90s cartoon but the heads are both Steve Ditko inspired (Yes, including those Steve Urkel pop-bottle glasses).
What stings is the fact I had the classic figure this one's inspired by and wanted to get it as a modern upgrade or a civilian. This one's not staying MOC and those glasses, Ditko or no, are coming off. At least the camera's nice

Those glasses make him look like a goofy character that would have been in the animated Tick from the 90s
The heads are based on Steve Ditko’s art. Although, the glasses on this figure are a bit too much.
I'm most likely going to remove those glasses off of mine anyway, seeing as how in the comics, He only kept the glasses for about eight issues, and his outfit doesn't even match with them on.

If you read Ditko's run on the comics these expressions are taken from specific issues. Maybe you got a bad paint job. Sucks to suck. Love the content. Big fan. But you got a messed up version. Play value on this sky rockets if you throw some Shang-chi open hands on this bad boy. BooM, roasted!

Looks like they went with the early parker in highschool with glasses. I think they were that big in the comic early on. Would be nice for them to be removable.

I used to put luke heads on my spider men figures because he resembled the animated Peter so I'd probably do that with this one if the body wasn't so bad

I guess meant to be early era comicbook Peter Parker who had Harry Potter spectacles like that but with clear lenses. Drill out those garish white centres? I would try. And the leather jacket looks like it’s from the 90’s; the camera too. Early Peter had a simple camera, certainly not this one with its motor-drive attachment. Mismatched accessories to the period Peter they were going for. I prefer the half spidey, half Peter head - they drew it like that in comics - but should really have added the spider-sense waves somehow and painted out that meat flap. Lazy job with the jacket’s shoulders too. Too much work to sculpt new parts instead of repainting standard pieces, I guess. This is the runt of the litter - hope it goes for dirt cheap.
The main reason why his limbs are so skinny are because they used the same body as the Stab Lee figure. But he was a skinny old man and Peter is a superhero.
you can take the glasses off but you may have to touch up the damage. Idk wtf they were thinking.
People seem to be confused because of the packaging, but all these figures are comic based, that Gwen Stacey, yeah that's very similar to what she wore when she died, those heads on Spider-Man, clearly Ditko and Romita Sr, comic's first, cartoon stuff later.
Saying they should be cartoon based doesn't mean people are confused.
@@AnthonysCustoms I didn't mean they should be cartoon based, I don't even want cartoon based, I want comic's based figures, I meant people seem to be confused that they aren't based on the cartoon and are in fact based on the comic's, which I prefer.
Meaning people see the old cartoon designed box art and assume they should be figures based on the cartoon, but that's not the case.
Perhaps the word confused was wrong, perhaps it's more a case of people's expectations, being played with, people see the cartoon box art and expect cartoon based figures, but Hasbro went with comic based figures in cartoon based box art.

@@takoberu3992 It's exactly that reason. Anthony has made it clear he haves no interest in soft goods on action figures. That doesn't mean he won't review em if people send it to him like soap studios has done with their figures. Just him purchasing them with his money he won't ever do that.

Toy Biz did a great job with the Peter Parker figure from their Animated Spiderman series, and even have is a camera, with a strap, that works well with even this figure, which is a good inch taller. I feel that Hasbro is getting lazy and awfully cheap, as they raise the price of figures. I’m pretty much done with Hasbro, I have what I want, and I’m not paying more for subpar figures.
I have a toy from I think Jack in the box that looks just like this where u pull his arm holding the camera and his head flips to the half spider Peter Parker (spider sense) anyone remember that toy still have it lol still have a bin full of all my Spiderman tas toys
I like this figure a lot especially the second head and it looks like Peter from the older era but thos glasses are the worst thing to happen to mankind even if you take off the glasses
