- Today at Nevermore Audio we check out the Walrus Audio Sloer, a multi-mode ambient reverb pedal that covers everything you could want, as long as it's washy.

I have leant on the Valhalla Supermassive plug-in over the last 12 months. On guitars, pads, drums. I can’t see me spending a wad of cash on more reverb pedals. Especially when that plug-in was free!
I use the Fender Marine Layer for pads and that cost me £79. I also have the Neunaber Immerse. I also have an HX Stomp which I use for recording. There’s a lot of reverb options in that too.
Sounds like you’re all sorted! Could always do with one more though 😉
Valhalla Supermassive is criminally good for a free plugin. Actually all of their free plugins are great.
I am loving the sound of the SLOER though
Think the Sleep Token vocal reverbs are mostly Valhalla plugins, nothing wrong with those at all. Hardware tends to have more of its own sound and character I find, the Sloer certainly has sounds I haven’t heard anywhere else!
Great sounding reverb! Lots of character to it, quite distinctive. Thanks for demoing this. Cheers
@@JTW_Music thanks for watching! It’s definitely got a sound all of its own, especially in the modulation - and those 5 modes are all great
Dude I hope you are getting Meris Mercury X..it's the king 👑
Sick! Does only one thing, but that happens to be the best thing!
@@jammage132 definitely! I get why Walrus didn’t go the ‘multi-tool’ route - I’d imagine it would have pushed it to a larger format and pushed the price up, meaning competition with Meris and Strymon. No need to get involved there!
Weird timing of this video, I had ordered one of these on a sale and it came today. Been playing around with it a lot this evening. I did find on light (my favorite mode), the decay is so long, you don’t need much at all. (I already had the original Slö so I was already familiar with the dream setting).
@@evanshride4851 glad you’re enjoying man! I really like the Dark and Rain settings myself, great for creating those big, ominous pad sounds or adding textures to tracks! Happy new gear day!
