- Batman’s rogue gallery features its fair share of villains who are strong and evil. One of them happens to be the mysterious Mr. Bloom. Even though he has only one major appearance, he is not a weak character. With a terrifying look with just a flower where his face is supposed to be, he indeed looks like the stuff nightmares are made of. No one even knows his real name, and he certainly does not seem human. So how did this creepy villain become a part of the Batman Universe, and what makes him so strange and equally dangerous? Let’s get right into it.

As weird as this sounds, Mr. Bloom feels like a Batman Beyond villain. Everything with his design and name just gives me those vibes and I love it
When your a plant based established villain but you are cast aside due to being to sexy or problematic to have a horror twist. Also yes this feels like Batman beyond version of poison ive.
Only in beyond does Batman fight super natural psychopaths with near god powers

My absolute favorite part of Mr. Bloom has to be how just...genuinely nice, good-natured and earnest he is. He really, genuinely just wants people to be genuinely happy. Happy murdering and destroying and so on, but happy.
Honestly, I feel like he’s a better Joker than the Joker because of that.
@@stingerjohnny9951 Eh. To me, that's the worst kind of Joker. He works best as Batman's opposite, in the sense that Batman only exists because the world is inherently broken. People like him shouldn't have to exist. The world is broken. And Batman is trying to fix it, to save it from itself.
The Joker agrees. Any world where he comes into existence is broken. But instead he thinks that not only should it be allowed to burn, but that he should help it along. It's not worth saving.

I think ppl have become to obessed with live action stuff not everything needs to be live action alot of stuff losses it’s zeal in live action or ppl dumb it down to fit a wider audience it happens everytime

why live action? animation can be so much more expressive and visually interesting. stop this stupid obsession with live action media. it's not inherently better nor prestigious. not saying live action is bad, it's just that certain things generally shouldn't be live action
God, I know The Batman is supposed to be insanely grounded and realistic but...I feel like Mr Bloom would work *incredibly* well in that interpretation, to bad the likelihood of that ever happening is practically non existent.
You'd have to seriously rework him physically, but you could easily make the "Drops" mentioned in The Batman into his work.
I think the more realistic setting would also enhance the terror of Mr. Bloom. Making him the only fantastical character would make him seem almost impossible to defeat. And like you said, he works thematically with Matt Reeves’s Batman universe.
Dude I honestly believe that supernatural esc villains can work in pattison Batman. Like Solomon Grundy, clay face, killer croc, mr bloom! Like I honestly feel like it can still work within the world of battison

Mr. Bloom is really exceptionally uncanny for a DC villain on Batman's terf. I wouldn't mind more nearly-eldritch baddies like that.

I hope that at some point they return Batman his cleverness, because kicking a gigantic being in the face with no plan whatsoever is just plain stupid. Is a shame that now a days they just made him a fighter, fighting is not what makes batman menacing, is his brain, his ability of contemplating things no one else would, to think outside the box.
Batman is only as good as the writers can think. Because he's not real...just a exaggerated muscle bound detective with ton of money & gadgets.
But this is Gordon. Not Bruce. Yeah their both Batman but a different version.

It's a shame he wants to go so grounded because I'd love to see Pattinson be the only one not to freak out at a terrifying thing like Bloom.
Plus I want Javier Botet aka the guy who played the crooked man in the conjuring to be him. And then get the voice actor of Fiddlesticks from LoL to dub him.

Mr.Bloom's concept art is so simplistic but genius. If he makes a comeback in the future I'm there for it.
So Bloom has actually made a come back. He is the main villain in the Task Force Z title at the time of this upload. It’s actually a decent title.
I never thought i'd see my favourite Batman characters team up as zombies but i'm all here for that concept.

I really like Mr. Bloom but I think he's got very few weaknesses and requires a lot of thought to defeat. At least as just one bat man. You would need either a super engineer who can design a device that won't be affected by Bloom or call on the help of the more mystic characters like Dr. Fate

This is one of those characters you can have by themselves, no protagonist, and still have fun reading their story. The possibility of seeing him tower over people and influence their decisions sounds like a neat dynamic to explore. My recommended feed has struck gold on this night, jolly good!
Mr. Bloom should team up with poison ivy sometime, something tells me they would get on like a house on fire.
This was a good storyline. Im not familiar with Mr. Bloom, but I would love to see him in live action.
I would think the mr.bloom, poison ivy, and swamp thing would become quite a force to fight if they ever teamed together. All of them would have similar goals, tho swamp thing would just care about his swamp, but his desire to help plants would make him a very good body gaurd for both bloom and ivy.

@@CNNBlackmailSupport Ah because from what I remember Batman Who Laughs has been around for quite a few years now with the Dark Multiverse stuff being kind of old by now so I figured that would've came first but then again I also didn't know Mr Bloom even existed until I saw this video he doesn't seem like such a well-known character
The Superheavy arc is definitely one of my favorites, the Scott Snyder/Greg Capullo Batman line of comics is a wonderfully written story and honestly it introduced some of the best villains in Batman history and expanded on others. From the Court of Owls to the line of Zero Year is some of the best comics I’ve ever read.
I started reading Batman with those. The hated aspects of the stories are what I like, because its so strange (except Freeze's wife not really being his wife, that was bad). It felt fresh. I mean look at Infinite Frontier for example. Its boring af.
