There is a deleted scene when Newt tells Thomas about him being infected. Newt also tells him about the time when he tried to k*ll himself by jumping from high platform in the maze. Ans Minho was the one who saved him, Minho is the reason why he's alive. That's why Newt is so loyal to Minho and put saving him above all.
I also interpreted it like that. BTW since Alex watched narnia I gotta say this and, based on his reaction, he'd totally agree. Edmunds redemption arc >>>>>>>> Teresa's
There's also another belief (headcanon) that she had noticed that Newt wasn't there and because of that, she understood that it was too late when they got the cure. So she was in shock and was to late before she left that shock.
In the books she dies by saving Thomas’ life when falling debris was going to crush him she pushes him out of the way and gets crushed herself. She does it as a last attempt to prove she loved him all along. I’m not sure why they didn’t want to do it that way in the movie. Would’ve made more sense imo
@@thatbluejayx Yeah Glad you wrote that, and either ways I think THE LEAST she could do is die for him because I mean.. she was OKAY with killing people to save others yk even Thomas himself I mean she wanted to try his blood and saying "I could keep you safe" ? like wtf? biaaaaat** yk this was not gonna happen and he WOULD end up dying drained! So, fact about this movie: It actually had to be delayed due to a nearly fatal accident on set. Dylan O’Brien (Thomas) almost died during that first stunt. He was struck by the vehicle, leaving him with a concussion, a facial fracture, and permanent brain trauma. He had to undergo reconstructive surgery and is still in therapy from this.
I know thisis about dylan but this remindedme of something about Newt. Was the cut in his face real? he had it in the second movie and he had a scar in this one.
@nilmaryrivera8578 As far as I know, TBS doesn’t have a facial scar. Most likely, he got a cut or something in the movie, and for consistency they added a scar there for this one.
So I actually read about this and he actually didn’t get hit by the vehicle, he actually just fell of the back of the “train” onto his face and broke either his cheek bone or his orbital.
Fun fact for you - the actor who played Newt was sat off screen reading the letter allowed when Thomas was reading it and his reaction was the first time he had heard/read the letter
Newt's death breaks my heart every time and will always stick with me, it was more brutal in the book because in the book Thomas had to shoot him after he said "Please, Tommy. please"
Both versions gave me trauma ngl, I still have to take a few minutes after reading or seeing his death to be okay. The first time for both tho, even though I know it's a fictional character, just absolutely devastated me and I swear I cried for like an hour. Hes the only fictional death that have ever made me cry actually.
What I always hated the most about Teresa is her hypocrisy. She talks about the responsibilities that the immunes have over the rest of the population but she is immune too. We never see her volunteering for getting the serum sucked out of her. She only stands by and watches while it is done to others and talks about how important it is and how necessary the sacrifice is. I hate her.
Kinda of like anti-vac people. even though they themselves are vaccinated, they want their kids to go through a hellish pain (measles, chicken pox, flu) thinking they will be fine because their body will magically fight against it.
Hey alex, one little fun fact about this is that the blonde girl that was in ares' maze was actually newts sister and the saddest thing is that they never knew who each other were despite meeting before newts death
No death has ever made me cry the way I cry at Newt's. I've seen this movie countless of times and every time I feel like I'm drowning in my own tears when he dies.

Believe it or not, this movie didn't even cost a full $100M to make. With how good the visuals are, you'd think this had one of the biggest budgets in modern history. But nope. Only $62M was spent on this movie's production.
Just one thing about Theresa--she doesn't want to kill them, she wants to save them. She's only "against them" because of her role with Wicked. So, they can trust her to not kill them, just not to keep them safe from Wicked
Facts. Not to mention there is an extended version of all 3 of those movies that's totally worth the extra time. The chances of him watching those is pretty much 0%. 😢
Newt’s death in the books broke me after I read it when the book came out. He was my favorite/comfort character so reading his death which was just so brutally painful and sad ruined me. I read it during break time in my classroom with all of my classmates around (big mistake) and threw the book across the room when I got to the page we do not speak of. Everyone stared me down in shock while I sat there staring silently at the book across the room with big globs of tears running down my face😂 My friend who was also a big emotional reader understood that someone important probably died because he knew how much I loved the previous books and comforted me for the rest of the school day😅 I got home and just broke down to my mom explaining what happened in the book. She’s also an avid reader which is where I got my love of books from, so she met my distress with complete understanding and no judgement which was very crucial because I was actively mourning Newt. The grief one feels towards characters you love in books and films who die is very real. She let me stay home from school for a couple days too😅 I am both happy and sad that they changed the details of his death from the book. Happy because I didn’t want to see it because reading it was traumatizing enough. Sad because it was beautifully set up. “Please, Tommy…Please” is forever burned into my memory😞

Apart from that I wished the letter was in the books too, and of course the books are better.

Short answer for the book comparison is that no, they aren’t very faithful. The movies are actually better than the books imo, the author wrote himself into a corner and it ended up more confusing than these movies

You should watch the maze runner bloopers, they're hilarious
This is by far my favorite book series growing up… I’m so glad you enjoyed it too! If you like this, then I think you would really enjoy the HUNGER GAMES as well! The movies also did the books justice as well!!!
I love your reactions 💗 hope to see the hunger games with you ✨
FINALLY THANK YOU FOR THIS REACTION
saved me from studying thankyou kind sir
Yay!!!! Glad he finished this set!
It’s a good one 👍
Alex please watch The hunger games series next
The way I was WAITING for this
Honestly i balled Out in tears first time watching this movie when I saw newt die I never cried this hard For a movie character Also fun fact The actor who plays Newt Thomas brodie sangster Voices ferb on phineas and ferb I got all these movies on dvd.The first 2 in a double feature DVD Collection, and then the third one I found in a dvd bin At walmart on clearance sale years ago
42.49 when you asked when did Newt write this letter, you remember the scene where newt lost his temper and yelled at thomas because of teresa with words dont lie to me? after that newt was sitting on the roof and already wrote this letter. In that frame you can even see him holding the letter in his hands, because he doupted that he would be able to reach the end. Im sorry if there was mistake, my english is not good enough. please like so he notices
Here before it gets taken down! 💪💪
my food just arrived this minute and I couldn't find anything to watch until u uploaded, I feel blessed lol
we need a
Alex Hefner's sus montage or funny moment vid
Short answer for the book comparison is that no, they aren’t very faithful. The movies are actually better than the books imo, the author wrote himself into a corner and it ended up more confusing than these movies
07:41 foreshadow 🥲
Once he said that I had to come to the comments to see if someone pointed it out💀
minho ran the maze like every day for like 3 years, i think his strength with his will to live and help his friends is justified just a little bit even with the blood drawn, wicked did push him and he has that anger
Alex needs to hit leg day holy 😭
Been waiting for this one!
To all the people saying the books are better- have ever actually READ the books? They are incredibly poorly written
Omg Bro thank you I feel like I'm losing my mind with the comments 😅 Dashner is such a bad writer and people complain about the changes which actually translated into on hindsight one of the better ya dyspian movie series ?
I rarely felt that angry while reading a book. Why didn't this go through at least 2 rounds of editing? So much potential hidden under so much crap. I'm glad the movies fixed a lot of it
13:40
I think he does the same in a video game too!
00:32 I may not want to know, but I'm guaranteed the knowledge
Looks like Tokyo? But it’s actually Cape Town, South Africa slightly CGI’d.
not so fun fact: Dylan O'Brien was seriously injured filming that opening train scene
Been waiting for this reaction!
There was definitely a drop off from the first movie
the girl Harriet was Ramsey in FAST FURIOUS 7. no wonder why she looked familiar. so pretty too.
Yes! Nathalie Emmanuel is so beautiful
