You make a good point actually, the game delisted exactly 10 years later so if it was a music contract that would make sense. I know there's licensed music in the other games too so maybe those weren't 10 years?
If that’s the case, then it definitely explains why it was only lbp2 that was delisted. Lbp1’s music licenses probably weren’t as heavy as 2’s and 3’s, and 3’s licences probably have some years remaining
Don't worry they won't shut down since the servers of lbp 1,2 and 3 even on last Gen are all connected to the same server so if they close that server all the games go down
I feel like they are making some kind of game collection on ps5 because that is what big series do when they have an old trilogy, they make a collection for a newer console.
@@SongInstrumentals4U Except that if you have most of your DLC downloaded from lost/banned accounts on PS3 you won't be able to redownload that same DLC you've had on your older LBP save data for PS5 (if they ever release a collection) you might have to end up buying the DLC again if old accounts are either banned or completely lost which have the DLC bought.

seems like a lot of things are not being told, but just sony knows that tbh, i don't feel the same with ps like 10 years ago, everytime a thing like this happens it just feels better to be on pc:(
Its honestly sad this might happen. I really love LBP2 out of all of the games despite me not being in the mood to play it. Heck, I wish I knew where to follow one of my favorite sticker makers on there. She quit back in 2014, and she had a lot of followers and stuff on there. I guess its a good thing I decided to remake one of my LBP characters into one of my closed species. At least she'll live on that way for now.
I feel like they might be making a LBP Trilogy remake or something. Like, think about Pikmin 3. They delisted the game to publish the new deluxe version
Aha! I remember when I rejoined the lbp fandom that I heard rumours about I think sumo digital were being rushed to get lbp3 out before Christmas. Maybe they’re taking the game back to fix clean the game to what they wanted.
Molecule pretty much moved on from LBP, so it's basically in Sumo's hand now. And I'm not sure if Sumo wants to give the sole 2D-concept another try after the problems with LBP3. But I really think they did a fantastic job with Sackboy and adapting the concept of the series into a 2D-3D world. Maybe they can bring another LBP Karting game, as they have experience with the genre (maybe one game that can finally match ModNationRacers). LBP still has much potential as it can be everything basically. So I wouldn't be too worried about the IP. However they'll probably make games without all of the create and share mentality, as Sony is speculating on dreams long term.
SABA could be getting create mode maybe, and they're redesigning the site completely for that, or are trying to fix issues with the game server that have been plaguing LBP3 for quite some time (like being booted off the server the moment you enter the Pod, requiring you to reconnect manually after dismissing the error)
I own all copies of LBP and just seeing that Sony is taking LBP stuff down is really disappointing especially since LBP is what got me into becoming a game designer. Fingers crossed that we don't lose the servers and the DLCs

LBP is one of my favourite game series of all time, I think it's really underrated honestly. I have such great memories from playing LBP 1 and 2 every day after school; it makes me sad to think that the games might be forgotten + servers shut down. This is a stretch, but I'm kind of hoping they make a collection for PS5 since they tend to do that with older game series. Especially with the release of A Big Adventure, new players might want to try out the mainline games so it would be good if there was a remaster/fixed up version for PS5 :] (nice background music choice btw hehe, another one of my fav games)
I saw this on Twitter and I feel like at this point they are doing this to make sure no mention of LBP exist you see in the files of SABA there's an image and it's an unused logo and it's was called "LittleBigPlanet Next" probably implying the fact every next LBP game is going to be a 3D Platformer and another tweet I saw on Twitter is that the LBP community name has been changed to "StevenI's community" something like that not sure why they are moving away from the LBP name

I like Sackboy: A Big Adventure but honestly I wish they would've just remastered LBP2 to PS4/PS5 and just made the game better with better graphics and more DLC and just new stuff because LBP2 was the elite game everyone was playing even when LBP3 was made. I don't know in my honest opinion LBP2 was by far the best LBP they had and they are just letting it go down the drain when it was their main hit of a game.
Tinfoil cap on Lbp 3, then 2 are delisted what if they're counting down for something like 3,2,1,0, I don't know it's a speculation they're counting down to something probably a new lbp game

And then all of LBP games that were delisted got relisted and Sony sends out an apology saying it was a mistake on their part. I mean this happens pretty much on a daily basis with other games. They're not going to delete the game or turn off the servers. Calm down people. Actually now that I think of it, if you go on the PlayStation Store, it says LBP 1, 2, Karting, and even 3 are available on PS3 (and LBP3 on PS4). What if Sony is getting rid of the PS3 games and replacing them with actually decent ports of them not exclusive to PlayStation Now? That could also be why it says "available with a PSN subscription" on LBP3 for now
As much as I love sackboy a big adventure, I don’t want this to replace the mainline games. There’s a lot missing such as the create modes. That was one of the main reasons I played little big planet. Creating and playing other created levels. If this is the route they’re going permanently, I’m sure I can speak for a lot of us and say that I’lol be done with the series if that’s the case.
I heard there's issue with backwards compatibility with Ape Escape 2 and they could have been removed so they can fix them. I think its the same case with LBP3 and the Minecraft games
i had as a child almost every lbp game (lbp 1,2,3 and karting, i think) and miss playing it bc my dad sold one day our ps 3 out of no where.. so i grew out of it and one day this year i wanted to play again and what do i hear ,, LBP Servers are down" I wish i was 5 again and play the whole day and night LBP it helped me through my destroyed childhood... :( and now im here playing run sackboy run :(
I mean while our beloved childhood franchise might fall the rise of Restitched may just save us, sure it's a big change but I still welcome it with open arms. But as long as LBP is alive then it'll be my go to.
LBP 1 & 2 were amazing! Unfortunately had to delete most of my levels when LBP3 came and fudged everything up. If I could create in LBP 1 & 2 modes on the PS5 and they made the online co-op functional again, I'd definitely go with the PS5... Fortunately for Xbox, they haven't done that yet. Seriously, this series was my only reason for sticking with Sony but if I can't create and play levels with friends, it feels so boring and empty. If they fixed all that and put it up in a bundle for the PS5, I'd be ordering that... once people reported everything working. Made the mistake of updating systems with LBP3... Everyone knows how that went. Tried getting back into creating on LBP3 a few weeks ago but creating is so pointless if I can't play the levels with friends or other weirdos who are into seriously messed up nonsense. Fixing and updating the old games would've been much more profitable than another Mario knockoff.
this is definitely sus...ima be devastated when they eventually shut down the lbp servers, but hey. Maybe Sumo will use the engine for Sackboy to make a new LBP in the future. That's my hope : ]
this seems to be happening a lot recently with them delisting game accidently, blood bowl 2 and mordhiem got delisted recently for a while then were put back up on the store, LBP3 is available again to purchase, at least on the old build of the ps store. no LBP1 or 2, but the vita version and LBP karting are still up, released in 2012 so i guess we can wait till next year to see if its a music licensing issue. ape escape and minecraft are all up on the store, i should also add that this is the UK version of the store.
I just realized, lbp2's delisting was probably because of license issues. Metal Gear Solid: The HD Collection was delisted for licensing as well because of the historical footage used in the cutscenes. LBP2 probably won't be listed again as Media Molecule would probably have to be involved to fix it.
I assume LBP2 got removed due to music contracts, 10 years seems like what they picked for Sleepyhead. (Sleepyhead is the song they probably had a contract for.)
Also someone out there should make a LBP continuation server. like Club Penguin Rewritten. hopefully that happens before the games get their connection's shut down otherwise we may never be able to go online ever again.
PS3 is two generations back, Sony will shut down PS3 permanently, less and less ppl are playing, if you want to own games buy physical. With digital you only get access while it's a mainstream
With the website being down, I personally think that either they're going to be changing it for a new lbp game, OR probably shutting it down for good soon. Those are my theory's. But, as you mentioned, it could be "a big adventure dlc" or something that has to do with online, but it is strange to see them shutting it down so soon and not like some time in the future- like next year or in a few months. It is also strange that they haven't said about it ahead of time, seems to me that It could be shutting down soon but I guess we are gonna have to find out later on.
Weird And in the saudi arabian store lbpk is still available Despite the servers shutting down around 2 year ago But only through the old ps store website Since the new website doesn't have ps3 games
It’s a long shot, but maybe they are revamping the site to bring in a Sackboy knitted knight trial create mode or something. I could see it working because a lot of the trials use similar assets.
Lbp 2 is my second favorite game of all time only recently dethroned by anodyne 2 and I still play it all the time with my family to this day. And I mean all the time.
Little Big Planet has basically been dead since LBP3, Sumo Digital did a Sumo Digital. And I say this as a long time fan of the franchise and Media Molecule. Sure Sackboy Adventure seems fine but is also a much safer game than Little Big Planet which they horribly messed up and didn't really fix it over time, just threw a lot of junk hoping people would put up with such a messy product.
1. righteous choice in music i love persona 5 2. man i hope this doesn't mean there's a coming LBP purge, but I think it odd that they delisted LBP2 solely and kept LBP1 up
Lbp 2 was delisted before its 10th anniversary, I was searching up the game to buy some dlc the other day and couldn’t find the game anywhere in the store. I don’t know what this means for the future of the game, but it doesn’t look good!
I’ve only played LBP3, but I’ve seen a play through of LBP2. Personally I like LBP3 because we get to play with other characters other than Sackboy. My sister and I every Saturday play LBP3 together and we have a blast! Though I would play LBP1-2 if I could.
People shitting on Sackboy A Big Adventure are doing themselves a disservice. It is a well-designed game regardless of no Create Mode, and treating it like a half-assed cash grab is misguided. In the meantime if I wanna create, I'll stick to Dreams.

@@jamiewaswrong "no limits" completely goes against the whole "limits inspire creativity" idea so idk that sounds really dumb.

kinda funny how LBP (media molecule's big IP)'s site got shut down but tearaway.me didnt (media molecule's forgotten IP)
I mean while our beloved childhood franchise might fall the rise of Restitched may just save us, sure it's a big change but I still welcome it with open arms. But as long as LBP is alive then it'll be my go to.
Restitched got shutdown a almost a year ago.
They should make lbp4 and add all the laps for ps5 as a apology
man i love lbp if the lbp servers shut down i will scream
they won't because the servers are linked to every game
Makeover for Sackboys big adventure when they add a create mode.
this is definitely sus...ima be devastated when they eventually shut down the lbp servers, but hey.
Thankfully I bought the game back in July then. Still really sucks man. I love those games.
@@bambangamer1271 really? well guess we'll have to wait until sony says anything
PS3 is two generations back, Sony will shut down PS3 permanently, less and less ppl are playing, if you want to own games buy physical.
With digital you only get access while it's a mainstream
7:27 how did you found those games on the ps4 store?! Whenever i try to search, it does not show up
blazingvictini: you're gonna take down lbp2 right after it's 10th anniversary?
me: *cries* *in* *rovio* *unlisting* *most* *angry* *birds* *games* *on* *their* *anniversary*
I hated it soo much that they removed LPB karting Multiplayer & DLC karts.
In the US store LBP 1&2 has always been removed for the longest. Only LBP3 is available
Weird
And in the saudi arabian store lbpk is still available
Despite the servers shutting down around 2 year ago
But only through the old ps store website
Since the new website doesn't have ps3 games
It’s a long shot, but maybe they are revamping the site to bring in a Sackboy knitted knight trial create mode or something. I could see it working because a lot of the trials use similar assets.
Lbp 2 is my second favorite game of all time only recently dethroned by anodyne 2 and I still play it all the time with my family to this day. And I mean all the time.
I tried to go to lbp.me yesterday. I couldn't. I didn't know it was down. Then I seen this video 🤔
Man, 2 Was considered the best! Why the absolute fuck did they delete it?
Little Big Planet has basically been dead since LBP3, Sumo Digital did a Sumo Digital. And I say this as a long time fan of the franchise and Media Molecule.
Sure Sackboy Adventure seems fine but is also a much safer game than Little Big Planet which they horribly messed up and didn't really fix it over time, just threw a lot of junk hoping people would put up with such a messy product.
I remember like 7 years ago playing lbp1 it was so good then a started lbp3 man good memories
I miss LBP1 on the PS3, shame it's not on the Ps4
3:16 omg I played this 2 days ago and..
Nice vid! :)
I'll spread the news as much as I can.

I love your LBP videos. And I love Gaming News videos, especially niche ones.
1. righteous choice in music i love persona 5
2. man i hope this doesn't mean there's a coming LBP purge, but I think it odd that they delisted LBP2 solely and kept LBP1 up
Lbp 2 was delisted before its 10th anniversary, I was searching up the game to buy some dlc the other day and couldn’t find the game anywhere in the store. I don’t know what this means for the future of the game, but it doesn’t look good!
Just bought LBP, and LBP2 on eBay both special editions and sealed. Going back to my childhood roots
Sealed must have a high cost. Bought the first two used for less than 10$ including shipping
@@CardCrusher29 nah both together around $40 quite a steal
It sucks ive been trying to scratch a modnation racers itch forever now..
I’ve only played LBP3, but I’ve seen a play through of LBP2. Personally I like LBP3 because we get to play with other characters other than Sackboy. My sister and I every Saturday play LBP3 together and we have a blast! Though I would play LBP1-2 if I could.
You guys realize the game is still on disc
It could just be taking long because they might be doing a redesign for the site to fit more with sackboy a big adventure, but I doubt that
this god tier franchise is trying to be hid from people who may want to get into the series
I didn’t get LBP2 digitally, but I did get the demo before it was removed too
You sure? I just bought Little Big Planet on PSP. That's weird.
This just breaks my heart I love LBP was a game I grew up with and Will always have a place in my heart
Maybe a PS5 or PS4 ports coming?
that would definetly be seriously poggers
Why would they delist them though?
@@hisuianpitch it is possible. They might want to delist them because they are now outdated because of an upcoming collection or port.
@@xperion749 hmmmm
You could be right
@@hisuianpitch This topic reminds me of the restitched situation
People shitting on Sackboy A Big Adventure are doing themselves a disservice. It is a well-designed game regardless of no Create Mode, and treating it like a half-assed cash grab is misguided.
In the meantime if I wanna create, I'll stick to Dreams.
