Awesome. I got this on my list for ambient hw synths. Some people complain of some bugs/glitches but I didn't notice any here. Anyways, thanks for the upload, take care.
Thank you. There are a few things that could use improvement, which I may address in a future video, but overall the unit was able to meet my expectations.
Finally. a video that shows what this new synth is capable of. sounds really nice. Why do most reviewers use cheesy sounds and bad licks to review new synths? I've been waiting for someone to make actual music on the polyend synth so I knew if it was any good or not. This is really nice.
Thank you. My goal was to see if it was possible for the Polyend Synth to make ambient music that fit my aesthetic, and I’m quite pleased with the results. I truly appreciate your encouraging comment.
I am on the fence about buying one because of various mentions in forums and videos of bad trigger and velocity sensitivity of the pads. Most people say that the problem is mitigated by setting the pads to fixed velocity, but that seems contrary to the concept of this instrument. What's your experience with the pads?
So far, I’ve found the pads to not be as consistent as I’d like. I tried the various velocity sensitivity settings, and the results are always mixed. A large part of the appeal of the unit is in playing three synths at once. However, it takes an immense amount of focus to not end up with occasional velocity jumps, double triggers, or notes that end sooner than intended. Part of it feels like a hardware issue. Part of it may be software response. I’d recommend trying it in a store first before deciding.
