  • Hello and welcome all to my subscribers and anyone who has visited my channel to view my latest video.
On Wedensday evening 13th September I visited Bournemouth Station in Dorset, which is situated on SWML.
I haven't been to this station for about 2 years since my last vsit.
I really enjoy coming here, I think the station is rather atractive looking. It's very well looked after, nice and clean. I really do like the canopy overhead, I think stands out very well.
There are some good facilitates, you have Pumpkin cafe which is situated on Platform 3, and 2 ticket offices on both Platform 2 and 3 near entrance and exit area.
Trains you see are enjoyable at this station. There is SWR 444 & 450, and what I really like about this station there is attach and detachment operations for SWR London - Weymouth services. I did get 2 attachment for Weymouth - London, but unfortunately no detachment for London - Weymouth as in the evenings they detach trains at Southampton Central.
You also have Cross Country Voaygers that are operating Reading, Birmingham & North West.
There is however a nice little surprise for you.
Overall very good station and I enjoyed my time there, defintley will be back again in near future.
If you like what you seen please give my video a like, and subscribe to me if you so wish.
Please feel free to leave a comment in section below.
Next video will be Evening Trains at Southampton Airport Parkway.
Until the next video will see you all next time.
    TTFN. :)

    A good selection of trains
Living near Newcastle on the ECML, I only see LNER, X Country, TransPennine Express and Northern Rail.
However, my wife and I are going to Manchester and Liverpool next week, so we'll see a few other companies for a change .. well, I'll see them, as my wife isn't really bothered about trains .. but if our TPE doesn't turn up, she'll be mad at me for booking with them (Doncastler to Manchester only .. I opted not to book the direct NCL-MAN with TPE, so will take LNER to Doncaster first.

Hi Brian. Thank you for viewing. You are lucky where you are because North has got a great selection of trains compare to what we have in South Coast. I mean Southampton Central & Basingstoke & Reading are still epic place as we have Freights, and some mixed of train services. Okay the end note I don’t blame your wife not linking Trans Pennines, I personally not into them. Traveled on them few times in the past while I was on holiday in Huddersfield. They are get crowed very easily and can’t get a seat. Number of coaches they run are bad as it is 3 coach format! And mostly never on time.

@@joes-trainproductions5987 Thank you for your comment.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed .. The TPE journey would have been £11.60 for the two of us with our railcards, but only £15 first class. For £1.70 each extra, it was too good a chance to decline, especially considering it's a journey of about 75 minutes. It's a Sunday, so probably no food, but a nice seat is good.

I think they have increased their coaches now. Last time I ridden on it was 2019, before Covid thing all kicked off. It was 3 coaches train, and it was so already full and difficult to find a seat. Class 185 are decent enough units. But they should of run 6 or 9 car formation, as carriages are small and not enough seats!
