I remember my mum going and buying the single (that's all we could afford) to One Step Closer so I could listen to it on my disc man. One of my most cherished childhood memories. Chester had such an amazing range.
GYYUCCGNKL?HHKFMF ! RICCARDOTINELLA RICCARDOTINELLA🍔
My Favourite Band of All Time ❤ R.I.P. Chester 🕯
This song and Headstrong from Trapt started my metal journey .
I had almost the same initial contact with Linkin Park as you did. I heard the song and the screaming and my first thought was: What is this? What are they doing? But with the bridge I thought: man, that's hard. That is different. That's cool. This can not be done any better. And then I was a fan to the end. I was on holiday in Italy when Chester died. I heard it on the radio and at first I thought I heard it wrong. So I looked it up on the internet and yes: it was the truth. I was in shock and just sat there for the next few minutes without doing anything. I spent the rest of the day trying to understand the situation. Researched what hapened on the internet. I couldn't understand how it could come to this. Why nobody did something or even didn't recognized how bad he felt. Then I tuned in to Linkin Park via Sportify and celebrated his life. Rest in peace Chester. I wish you would felt the love you received in life.
I remember getting this Album when it came out at a age of 12.
It became my best friend for years🙏🏻❤
Same as me, remember seeing this on rage and thinking what was this and why do I love it lol I was a really sheltered kid from a strict family so this blew my mind and love linkin park ever since
Been a fan when they were called Hybrid Theory, Chester changed my life got the better, he kept me fighting the hard times, the greatest ever, R.I.P Chester Bennington, forever in our hearts
Yo Richo, Sum 41 once performed with Mike Shinoda after Chester passed away for a Tribute and did the LP Song Faint Live. You should check this out, the singer from Sum 41 did an AMAZING JOB! Theres no doubt why LP asked him to step into chesters footprints
Love this video; sharing your admiration for them with us. The first time hearing them was my dad playing them in the car, have loved them ever since
I love them so much, also awsome live , great reaction, thanks 👍😘, my favorite concert is, rock am ring 2004❤️🎶
I watch their album promo on tv, and yes their song capture my eyes n ears.. What is this music, it kind new for me, im only 13 years old in that time..
My goodness. R.I.P. 💔 distinct voice
Richie , I couldn't agree with you more this is one of the best songs from one of the best bands of all time. They were the first metal band I ever got into when I was like 10. When Chester passed away I was devastated , he was an absolute angel and his ability to scream and clean sing was fantastic. I always will love Linkin Park.
RIP legend Forever
I grew up listening to them too
I want to concur with your opinion about Linkin Park. I’m 71 years old and grew up in what I still believe is the greatest era of music from the Beatles to the Stones, Yes, Pink Floyd, Queen, on and on and will always believe the depth and quality, and quantity will never be replaced, but simply stated Linkin Park is the best band I’ve ever heard. Chester Bennington is the best vocalist ever. My regret is that I have not been able to convince buddies that I grew up with of my conclusion. Everyone in the band is perfect for their roles. Mike Shinoda is a genius. Nevertheless, Chester is the star as no one was as vulnerable and open with his struggles as he was, not to mention his talent. Then you add the most amazing range I’ve ever heard. I’m not a huge fan of screaming or growling vocals, but when he would sing in that fried range, the difference is you can understand what he’s saying, and it was not a put on bad boy image that I think so many others thought they were accomplishing. His falsetto tone is absolutely hypnotizing.
Another thing that endures me to them is the comments from so many people who took solice and identified with some of the themes and subjects of their songs. As a Christian, I understand that universal search and believe Chester gave them an outlet. I pray they find the truth in Christ as we all need. In the meantime, I am super grateful that I stumbled across their music, which never gets old.
in my eyes he is the GOAT! R.I.P CHESTER
r.i.p. chester. the goat!
Wish I could smash the like button without breaking the screen lmao 🤣
Oh yes, pls do more Linkin Park!
