Especially in a playoff game or the first game he plays. Its also easy to access with Apple TV. I wonder how the NFL would react to that.
There is no doubt about it. The only reason Qatar hosted the World Cup is because of massive corruption in FIFA. Also, I think you are far too hard on Met Life. There is nothing wrong with the stadium. The problem was it was designed and built just before the implications of what this generation of mega stadiums could really mean for teams. Could they have used a little more foresight and tried to future-proof a little more. Sure they could but it's not a bad stadium. The biggest error was not getting a roof, retractible or otherwise.
I live in the NY area and I can confidently say MetLife is one of the worst stadiums in not just the NFL, but in all of sports. It is so bland, devoid of any character, too corporate, and has horrible sightlines. The exterior looks like someone took an enlargement machine and made a massive AC unit. The fact it doesn’t have a roof is nothing short of ridiculous, considering it is located just outside the most popular city in the world, and could’ve easily hosted super bowls, March Madness’, conventions, etc. There’s also zero to do outside of the stadium and the traffic is atrocious. I hate coming to Jets games because MetLife is such a horrible experience each time.
Whats useless about Metlife. Its hosted a Super Bowl. 2 NFL teams. Tons of concerts. 2 wrestlemanias, its right next to a rail station and has 4 NJT bus lines to American dream. Also has 2 Coach USA lines. Plenty of places to tailgate in its massive parking lot. American Dream is open 7 days a week and has plenty of bars and resteraunts. On game days there is shuttle service to the racetrack where you can place sports bets as well. Metlife also has $5 dollar beer. It has wide concourses, massive bathrooms, and massive scoreboards. Its a great stadium and will probably host the world cup final. It has also hosted the 2016 copa america final as well. Its also very usable in February and March. There is going to be 2 outdoor NHL games in 2024 in February. Ive been to multiple international soccer friendlies in the month of march as well.
While Met Life Stadium hosts two football teams with New York in their names, it's located in East Rutherford, New Jersey. So was Giants Stadium before it. Television cameras show the Meadowlands Sports Complex in the foreground of the New York City skyline but it is definitely in New Jersey.
Speaking of incomplete soccer stadiums, how about the New Mestalla stadium in Valencia, Spain? It was supposed to be the new home of Valencia CF but has been sitting incomplete for the last 15 years.
The Olympic Stadium was doomed before it started. With that being said I like the Stadium for the Expos but I will say the Stadium is easy to get to using the subway and ease to get downtown for it. I wonder if Montreal had a different Stadium if the expos would still be there?
And wwe hosted wrestlemania at metlife stadium triple h and multiple other wrestlers said that was the worst outdoor weather they ever preformed in and they said we will never go back to mellife but maybe at summerslam they will

Qatar got the Asian cup this year and won't even use most of the stadiums!! Lusail stadium won't even host the final haha. China should be next to host the World Cup in Asia so they'll have their grand stadium ready by then.
