Actually,our cities have a lot of problems.Smogs,pollutions and traffic jams are some of these issues. They prevent a good quality of life in big cities. However there are some proposals to fix these problems. These technologies are the future of transportation.
These technologies will change the world forever
1-The Mercedes-Benz Future Bus
What urban public transport will look like in the future is shown by the semi-automated city bus with CityPilot - it operates even more safely, efficiently and comfortably than conventional buses. Connectivity plus camera and radar systems with data fusion are catapulting the city bus into the future. Mercedes-Benz is showing this spectacular technology on an equally spectacular technology platform, the Mercedes-Benz Future Bus with CityPilot.The CityPilot is able to recognise traffic lights, communicate with them and safely negotiate junctions controlled by them. It can also recognise obstacles, especially pedestrians on the road, and brake autonomously. It approaches bus stops automatically, where it opens and closes its doors. And not least, it is able to drive through tunnels. The bus will be environment friendly too.
2-Transit Elevated Bus :
The Transit Elevated Bus (TEB) is a proposed new bus concept where a guided bus straddles above road traffic, giving it the alternative names such as straddling bus, straddle bus, land airbus, or tunnel bus by international media.
3- Automated and self-driving cars
These cars will be incredible. No need to drive them because they are self-driving and automated.They will be smart,environmment friendly,more luxurious ,prettier and safer for everyone.
4- Elon Musk underground tunnel systems
This is firstly proposed to reduce traffic jams in Los Angeles.
An incredible underground system of tunnels will connect the city.
The vehicles will ride on a big skate that will go at 200 km per hour.
This is a good solution to reduce traffic.
5 -Hyperloop
Another incredible vision of Elon Musk. The system will operate like Maglev do,but inside big tube. These tube will have low air pressure.
Due to this low pression,objects will go faster because no force will stop the speed of the object. Capsule travelling inside these tube ,could reach a speed of 1200 km per hour. In the future it could be 5000. Several Hyperloop are proposed around the world. The goal is to cut travel time and protect the planet.
6-Falcon Big Rocket by Elon Musk
These rocket are used in the rocket tested by SpaceX.
But instead to go to mars or space,they will be used to travel to a city to another. It will be the fastest travel system ever conceived.
The rocket will reach a speed of 5000 km/h. You can go to Paris to Sydney in less than 1 hour. Hong Kong to New Delhi in less than 30 minutes or New York to Los Angeles in 30 minutes too. You will reach any cities around the world in less than 1 hour.
7-Airbus Plane for 2050
It's just beautiful. None of the plane that fly actually ,can compete with it. No words to describe how beautiful it will be.
8- Aether Cruise:
It will be the future private jet of rich.Based on an airship platform, the “Aether” cruise experience by UK-based designer Mac Byers allows guests to experience a wider range of destinations in a shorter time, all the while enjoying some of the greatest views imaginable.
9- Flying Cars
This is the biggest revolution to come. Imagine to have your personal flying car one day. It has been a long time since we wanted them and finally they are coming. Pal-V is the first car available for purchase. Aeromobil 3.0 will come in 2020 and prices start at 1.5 million$. The Terrafugia TF-X will be available in 2020.
Ehang 184 will be the first automated flying car and the sales will start in 2020.
This is the most interesting moment since the industrial revolutions in past centuries. Technologies are changing our lives,but this time for the better. This time was awaited since many decades.

Cost of construction might be too high.
There are some issues with most of these projects. Let's start with the "Transit Elevated Bus".
The "Transit Elevated Bus" project has already been shutdown after the first prototype was built. The company that was working on it has been charged by their government for fraud due to the way they handled the money from donors and government grants. It was also deemed not feasible due to the prototype showing too many logistical issues to make it work.
Self driving cars and busses are a nice concept that at first glance might seem like they'd help the issue. The problem is that with self-driving cars, all you're doing is replacing an old car with a new car for perhaps more luxury, convenience, and efficiency. But you won't reduce traffic or congestion with them. It will be a 1 for 1 trade with the number of vehicles on the road remaining the same. The busses will only make a minor dent in the traffic by taking a few vehicles off the road, but they won't do enough and will still have to work with traffic and congestion on the same roads. This already makes busses less efficient than other public transportation systems since they are forced to sit in traffic which wastes fuel and makes it impossible for them to keep a constant schedule.
The tunnels idea doesn't make sense to me. We are already seeing issues with the land becoming increasingly more unstable the more we drill into it. If we were to make a tunnel system that massive and complex, it would not only destabilize the ground, but would also run up massive costs in construction while also taking a very long time to create. I see more "cons" than "pros" to that concept.
The Hyperloop is something I'm still undecided on. The original concept did not make sense to me. In the original concept, they laid out a design for an evacuated or low pressure tube and then wanted to use air as a cushion and for propulsion. The problem with that idea is that as you remove the air pressure from the tube, the reduce the overall amount of air that could be used for creating the cushion and propulsion. As you can see, they eventually realized this problem and switched to maglev for both within an evacuated air tube. The only other concern I have is just how will we be able to maintain low pressure in hundreds to thousands of miles of tunnels safely and efficiently? And how much power will it take to maintain the low pressure?
Falcon Big Rocket - What sort of fuel is this going to use? How much fuel will it need per flight? What sort of chemicals will the exhaust create? How much will it cost to fly on this? And a number of other questions on this project.
Aether Cruise - How exactly does this thing fly? How many people will it hold? How much will it cost to fly on it?
yes the transit elevated bus had very clear issues with the design that isnt compatible with our current systems.
The true benefit of self driving cars arises when self driving cars become more or as common as manual cars, or reach milestones such as all trucks are driven by an AI or all large vahicles. The impact of self driving cars is making roadways safer and therefore more efficient.
For the tunnels, yes ground is destabilized by drilling, INPORPERLY. Properly drilling and reinforcing the ground after creates a very stable structure, but of course the underground tunnels idea is just a fantasy and pretty infeasible. I doubt it is a serious concept when we have alternatives like subways that already exist.
Not even going to comment on how dumb the rocket it right now.
Hyperloop is very feasible, and depending on its performance in the first projects,, will likely have an explosion being implemented around the world.
None of these ideas except hyperloop is seriously thought of by actual engineers, theyre more like kid's fantasies and nothing more. These are just things that sound cool to think of but not seriously considered as feasible solutions to current world issues.

first, obviously, you didn't do your research at all because most of what you said is nonexistent. With a simple google search, you can find all those answers in a heartbeat. Self-driving cars if you didn't know would get rid of all traffic congestion. That's if all the cars on the road become self-driving, how you say, easy. The AI in the cars will send signals to each other at the speed of light, this reaction is way faster then any human could do. The AI will see where all cars are at where they are going and where they may be at next as they talk to each other simultaneously.
What are you talking about how much power will it take to maintain low pressure in the hyperloop? You don't need the power to maintain it once all the air friction is sucked out it stays like that until air sneaks into it. No airless friction, the faster the car can go and the less energy consumption taking the car from a to b.......

A few years ago I designed a really fast train called LazerTrain and it had a speed of 360,000 kph (100km/s). It traveled inside airless tunnels and had magnetic levitation like hyperloop except it had an ultra powered laser that launched solar beams at a solar sail on the back. Superpowered magnets stopped the train by using repelling magnets. The tube is made out of carbon nanotubes so it is impossible to brake

**Warning** : Long ass post !
1) The Mercedes-Benz Future Bus :
It's a bus .. a bloody bus, wether it's self driving or not doesn't matter.
It still takes up space on the road, *and* .. we already have busses, and it's not like our congestion is going anywhere!
2) Transit Elevated Bus (TEB) :
Ok, so this is basically a glorified Tram, which can run into traffic problems in a congested crossing just like everyone else.
I do like the idea of using the space *above* the road, of course we will need to make a new space for things like road signs, and light curves, and so on - But that's all perfectly doable. And the machine itself could be build with existing technology too.
I wonder what they will do when it encounters a large truck or a double decker bus ? I mean, it cannot go around them.
Still, the TEB project has the most potential, of all the harebrained ideas here.
3) Automated and self-driving cars :
Allright, so those are coming, without a doubt, people are just that lazy.
But the cars will still take up space on the road, and won't remove congestion per se.
Though there are some neat things you can do with electronic traffic control.
For example, you could "reserve a route" with the local traffic computer, so that the computer knows in advance that you will be going to work within a specific time frame, and thus allocate space for you, making the traffic smoother, thus utilizing the road network more optimally. But the basic problem persists … every one have to be at roughly the same place, at the same time - That is what *creates* the congestion to begin with.
Frankly, working from home, would be a better solution to traffic problems.
4) Elon Musk underground tunnel systems :
Holy shit, this has to be the worst solution, in all of history !
The financial overhead alone, is absurd.
I'm not saying that tunnels in and of themselves are stupid, but putting cars on an electronic sleigh ?
Cars have perfectly good wheels, can't they drive themselves ?
Just put in an electronic control system, and things will be fine.
5) The Hyperloop :
Won't actually improve congestion, at all.
Congestion is a local problem, planet wide transportation is not congested.
Also, the Hyperloop have quite a few inherent problems in and of itself.
I'm not going to bother with it here, people such as Thunderf00t have already banged on about it.
Lets just _assume_ that it could work, the cost of such a system would be *insane* !!
And it wouldn't actually improve traffic much, apart from long distance travel … a bit … but only a bit …. **if** it works.
6) The Falcon Red Rocket :
Oh noes, air planes pollute a lot .. quick, lets jump into a rocket and make even *more* pollution !!
Rockets are the singular most pollution mode of transportation.
And just like the Hyperloop, it doesn't solve congestion, at all.
7) Airbus Plane for 2050 :
It's a plane .. big whoop-de-doo … we got those already.
I mean, it looks neat and futuristic, for a flying greenhouse.
Same problems with this as the Hyperloop and Falcon Red Rocket.
But cheaper, as it can use existing airports.
8) Aether Cruise :
Ok, not gonna lie, that thing looks way cool.
But, and you knew there would be a but, _it doesn't actually solve anything!_
First off, it's only for the rich.
Secondly, it's a plane, it doesn't help with congestion on the ground.
It looks cool, that's about it.
9) Flying cars :
Ok, the stable of all sci-fi movies, and the horror of every driving teacher !
Imagine teaching a hormone addled 16 year old gang member to be safe and secure in a flying car ?
I cannot imagine how some of the idiots I see in traffic everyday, would be able to handle a _flying car_ !!!
The very thought of them in a flying vehicle of *DOOM* makes my stomach churn with fear!
That said, flying car have all sorts of great potential, and could *really* change congestion a lot.
Though if the movie "The Fifth Element" is any indication, we would still have congestion … but maybe less ? :)
We just need the technology to make flying cars useful.

The underground tunnels might make sense in heavily congested metropoles, where there would be an enormous economical incentive for any solution which could outweigh the immense cost.
When they got to the part of the video where they showed the falcon rocket for transportation, it reminded me of one of the old "Thunderbirds" programmes or the original Japanese "Godzilla" movies...

I like the low pressure tube idea, I think that might work, could be safe, and not too difficult to build. Flying cars? Aerodynamic flight is not for everyone! Perhaps the electric rotor type with autonomous controls.

The bus driver is just there in case of a malfunction, in that case the bus driver will take over.
Always someone appropriate for this kind of transportation should be established in order to provide the adequate measures in security and health of the passengers plus to validate our apperance in the flight. Also these rockets should be immense with a very high capacity of passengers, so the stuff should be also in a similar proportion in number to handle and organize so many people inside the flight.

Cars, buses, trains, planes - all obsolete overnight. Going out to dinner? Step into the booth, swipe your card, dial the number of the restaurant. Step out into the lobby. Possible future? Transit Elevated Bus seems like a good idea but when there are cars stuck in traffic and stopped on the rail that the bus drives on it would cause a lot of problems they would have to figure out.
