Absolutely adore Sheffield! Love how so many walk or take public transportation. Across the pond, you just don't see that as much. 🤟

Love the vids. I was born and brought up in Sheffield, left in 1986 to university in London, but visited family over the years. It's funny how Sheffield has changed, but still has the familiarity I remember from 70"s, 80's and onwards. I lived in the Abbeydale area bordering Heeley and Sharrow.

I miss Sheffield Arrived as a student in 1997 and left 10 years later to move to Bradford as my (ex) wife got a teaching job there. Worst decision ever. Although we did live in Bingley which is quite nice. Watching these videos does make me nostalgic for what I called home. It still feels like home. My parents live there now so I do go and visit often but don't get to see the city centre much, except when driving through

Leopold Square is made up of the original City Grammar School buildings and (on Leopold Street itself) the old Education Department buildings. These, in their turn, are based on the original college buildings named, like the street, after the person who opened them - Prince Leopold. The college outgrew the buildings and went further west - and became Sheffield University.

Sheffield has so many bars and restaurants but what about a shopping centre and please don't use the Meadowhell excuse. Top class video, as always.
