Conrats Dwayne!, you are THE first and only one to do a review of this stand other than the promo vids from Summit, I'm going the Trad route this year, and this and the Open Shot are the only 2 viable alternatives since XOP phased out their climber, dumb schmucks! I briefly considered this, but not stoked on the wieght, which is leading me to favor the Open Shot, but was hoping for a lighter sit and climb.
Hey Timbo! Thanks so much man! I appreciate the kind words and best of luck with your decision 👍🏻👍🏻
You good Duane?? Haven't seen a video in a min hope all is good
Hey thanks for checking in! Yeah, just taking it slow with TH-cam lately. Hopefully we’ll start picking it up soon as we get into Spring and Summer 👍🏻
Excellent review Duane. Hope y’all are doing well!
Thanks Trophy Hunter!!! I appreciate it as always man 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I like it ,nice seat
Heck yeah! Thanks for watching👍🏻👍🏻
Can u keep the shooting rail just flat strait out? Or does it have to be all the way up or all the way down?? Looking into this one
Hey thanks for watching! You can only lock it in place in the up or down positions. You can have it straight out, but it won’t stay in that position if any pressure is applied.
No cup holders?
lol! Hey Kite Army!!! Good to hear from you man! Hope you are well 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Good review as usual but that stand is junk
Haha thanks man
you might want to have your top half tied off to your bottom half for safety's sake.... with any brand or design of climbing stand! don't ask me how i know! you lose that bottom up there, for any reason, you're screwed....in more ways than one!!!! safety, safety, safety!
Oh for sure! I should have put the umbilical cord on and used a harness for the demo, but wasn’t really climbing. You definitely want both of those things attached if you are climbing for real. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
i have short legs and summit bottom sliped down before i had it solidly wedged on tree trunk. i had it tied off but didn't have summit cord short enough to catch within my leg length. stuck up there at around ten feet with nothing but the , seat climber half and a flip phone....years ago....in my back pack within reach. family member arrived about 45 minutes later and used a downed limb to push base back up where i could get a good enough purchase w ith my feet into frame/stirups. morning hunt and took till lunch to get the hell down. glad i didn't have to bail out before my arm strength ran out! i was real careful not to drop the damn phone while digging it out of my pack. lesson learned the hard way!!! sorry for the long winded story of yesteryear. @@mountainbuck
All good man. And that is a great reminder to have all your ducks in a row with your umbilical cord, security strap and harness. I remind my friends to wear their safety equipment, cause you just never know. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
@doncraig3665 If you use climbers regularly I highly suggest checking out safety straps made by a company called Third Hand. You can cinch down the upper half of your stand to make it rock solid when hunting and you can adjust them to give you enough slack to climb up and down with them while also having them short enough to not allow the bottom half to get away from you if it happens to slip away somehow.
@@brob-zy8zi i'm a big believer in doing just that for safety and feeling secure up in a tree!
