Professionally, I'm a copywriter/storyteller and I noticed in your recent films that you truly understood how to convey your story in words and visuals concisely, effectively and easy to understand without the extra flowery words. It's quite refreshing and inspiring. Keep up your great job!

When someone is addicted to something, they have to switch that addiction with something else. Nicotine was switched to food. Food was swichted to crazy workouts. Workouts switched to 10k marathons.
BUT, which hurt do you want? The hurt that negatively affects yourself or the hurt that is going to have a positive effect on you?

Oh yes most definitely I agree! I went from anorexia to bulimia to vaping. I bought me a $50 vape mod and a years supply of vape juice and truly hooked onto this nicotine addiction. I hope everyone gets through their addiction!🩷🩷🩷

This video somehow came at the perfect time as I’ve decided to quit alcohol completely out of my life and no longer let it have control over me. Thank you for the inspiration.

This was so raw and vulnerable Sophia, and I highly commend you for putting it out there. Any sort of addiction is a painful battle that people do not see behind closed doors. The mental battle can feel like the toughest, especially when you feel like you are against yourself in that deep depression. No matter what though, your video showed that ANYONE is capable of quitting whatever is no longer serving them. It might take time and be a painful journey, however it is so rewarding in the end and those supports in your life are everything. Recovery is the best way of saying "I love you" to yourself and your loved ones. Thank you

Sophia I watched this video probably over 3x now because I’m struggling really hard with quitting vape. Like you, I realized how bad my addiction was… I was ashamed of spending my hard earned money, and how I wasn’t respecting my body. This is going to be my 4th time watching this video, and I hope I can quit. Thank you for encouraging me, and others.

This hits home, thank you for sharing. I started vaping 5 years ago and now stopped for 2 months. I’m pregnant and when I evaluated my life, I just couldn’t believe I would treat my body this way. Been a raver since 2013 and it’s all stopping for the this next exciting chapter in my life. 😍

Thank you for this video Sophia, it was like a sign for me 🤍 I quit vaping a while back for only 1 month but relapsed. A few days ago I told myself it’s going to be now or never and so today is my third day nicotine free. Your journey inspires me so much and I hope one day I’ll reach the 1 year mark as well! So proud of you.

Sophia, I'm that one of your subscribers who have watched all of your videos but for this one, I really really want to say thank you for being so brave and honest. I've been trying to quit vaping too for about a week and what I can say is that, your video has been truly helpful personally because, you told us the not-so-talked stuggle which is the snacking and food craves. Your video "prepares" me to go through this struggle and if it wasn't because I watched this repeteadly, I def wouldn't be able to be this solid to continue the journey. So really thank you thank you so much for this. Can't wait to see more of your fab works

I'm really enjoying being in my 30s now. I DO NOT MISS MYSELF IN MY 20s at all. I was reckless as well, partying, smoking cigarettes/vaping since I was 20. Now 33 and stopped everything for 2 years. My boyfriend has been so supportive of my health that we both barely drink alchohol as well😊 it's nice to be with a partner who prioritizes being healthy and happier 💗 so happy for your new, healthier lifestyle 💗

I’m happy you posted this. It makes me feel like I’m not alone. I also hit my vape every like 15 seconds. We have so many similarities. Caffeine + nicotine = unstoppable. I also have smoked for over 10 years. I’ve started eating better & exercising but I also need to get rid of the nicotine. I have thought about going back to smoking for the same reason you did. I know it’s horrible AND I have asthma smh. Congrats girl!!! I hope I’m right behind you.

Congrats 👏!!! I started my own journey of cutting out excess sweets . I know it doesn't sound serious, but I could eat nothing but sweets ALL day. I just turned 60, and I thought at this age that I would be so carefree about what I ate , but nope didn't happen . I wish myself alot of luck because I never follow through with anything even though I know that I would feel alot better. Today is day 2 and it feels like I'm looking for a needle in a hay stack , removing each strand of hay one by one , AND ITS JUST DAY 2 ! I hope I make it , I will be looking at this vlog alot to inspire me , thank you for the much needed help 😊

Sophia, congratulations on a year!! Vaping makes it so hard to quit nicotine; it's just so easy to keep hitting a vape and not even notice how much it's killing your body bc it tastes/feels so pleasant, versus a cigarette (imo). It's one of the hardest things to quit since it's been so normalized. I'm so glad that you're feeling better, both physically and mentally 💖 thanks for sharing your journey with us girl!

wow, the fact that you essentially went on this journey bc of sean's asthma. you would've been dating for just a few months at that point. its sweet that for over a decade you couldnt find a reason strong enough for why you deserve a nicotine-free life but when it directly harmed your loved one that was enough to quit cold turkey.

I am so happy to see you in a state where you feel confident without vaping and smoking. It must have been a very hard journey. Our body has their own power to stand up again:) We should believe in ourselves and our bodies. I am so proud of you:) + The story about why you quit smoking was very sad. Cause I didn't expect it. The thought that you had at the moment would have been very strong, I think. The moment when you felt that you wanted to put your loved ones before smoking was so powerful! I could feel you when you were talking about that so I was sad, as well. Have a good one and I wish you happiness.

Yay Sophia!! I remember watching you, Jenn, and Weylie religiously back in middle school/HS. I’m 23 now and almost a year nicotine-free after being addicted for 5 years🥹 Similarly, the only reason I was able to quit was because my cat got diagnosed with CHF, and I desperately made a deal with God so I would quit so that my kitty could live. It worked! (the vet changed a 9-12 month prognosis into “it’s a miracle! he’ll be here for a long time”). SO PROUD OF US❤

    Congrats Sophia!!!!
This video hit home. I was smoking for about a year, but I got addicted QUICK. I didn’t even mean to get into vaping, but I was in college and stressed at the time so my juul quickly became my emotional support buddy. I remember even flat out calling it that and I really would feel uneasy if it wasn’t in arms length at all times. It was the first thing I thought of in the morning and how I put myself to sleep. It’s so wild how normalized vaping (especially) can be. Quitting was hard on my body too, I mostly dealt with anxiety and headaches and cold turkey was the only way that worked for me too. (A breakup is what pushed me to quit lol) After even just a few weeks off though I felt my energy levels increase and I no longer had a chronic cough or difficulty breathing after several runs up my apartment stairs. It’s been years now since I’ve quit and honestly I’ll still get cravings for it! Like I said, my vape was my buddy. It reminds me of a simpler time and a more vulnerable version of myself. Sometimes I yearn for that part of my life and my tendencies then, but I know I’ve been a better person without it. Thanks so much for sharing your personal story!! I hope you never stop feeling proud of yourself for quitting and I’m glad you had/have people in your life that supported you through it. We are doing amazing!! ❤

This was truly inspiring. I don't even know what to say. I know that no words will be enough to explain the hardship behind the journey. As a person who have struggled with ED, I can relate so much to the weight gain as an unexpected struggle that emerged along the way. As a person who struggled with ED, it's honestly impressive that you were able to achieve a healthy balance between working to get your body back and not letting it become another obsession.
