Fun fact on one of the reasons on why we don't see the garnet and amethyst Fusion is because it's voice by Nicki Minaj and they can't just constantly call for her
Sugalite appeared ONCE in Steven Universe, and appeared again but as Steven in SU:F. Sugalite didn't even talk in SU:F as Steven. How much does it cost to have Nicki voice act??

@@4700cat same here, the episodes I remember watching back when Steven Universe was on Cartoon Network was season 1 episode 1, 5, 10 & 11 and I missed out so much for so many years. Thank got there’s a website that I can catch up and watch full episodes and seasons of cartoons like Steven Universe, Regular Show and Adventure Time

I love this mini arc. Pearl unwittingly using Garnet for comfort and support without considering how that impacts her. Her low self esteem results in her ignoring that Garnet also feels pain. Ruby and Sapphire being at odds with Sapphire trying to bypass everyone's feelings just to do the right thing... I love it. So many good lessons for kids about listening to other people and not letting your own feelings blind you to the needs of others.
You're not far off about Onion's mom. Vidalia is also a type of onion, and if you look at her hair, you'll notice it's shaped just like the same kind of onion. I didn't know there was a town named Vidalia, but I'm guessing both the town and this character are named after the vegetable.
According to Wikipedia, "the onions are named Vidalia because they were historically grown in the town of Vidalia, Georgia". So it seems like Krysta here is right. And for me as a European this was a nice bit of trivia that was new to me, I have never heard anyone else call it out.
There is a fan theory that Onion and his father Yellowtail - Sour Cream's stepdad - are actually kid-friendly versions of the Deep Ones from HP Lovecraft's The Shadow Over Innsmouth, human-fish hybrids that mate with people who live on the New England coast and worship the elder god Dagon in exchange for eternal life. It's theorised that that's why he has no visible ears, talks in incomprehensible mumbles and is generally creepy.

That would also explain why Onion didn't look like he aged at all in Future

I was really disappointed in Pearl when she manipulated Garnet like that. For Garnet fusion is an intimate thing. The show uses it as a relationship metaphor, whether it be romantic, platonic, professional or in darker circumstances, abusive. Pearl was trespassing into Garnet’s heart and it is not good.

It will forever confuse me how nobody at that hospital realized that the gem fushions aren’t humans based on their looks and their no heart beats
It was actually rumored that the one who made them enter the hospital was a gem, a gem who survived the attacks but didn’t meet the Crystal gems
The gem lived with the humans but doesn’t 100% understand the human kind, like amethyst

2:20 In this episode we can see Amethyst feels excluded from the "group", this certainly seems like toxic behavior, and it is at some point. But it is not entirely in this case, Garnet's words are so sincere and cold, they hurt. Amethyst already has problems with his person, and now seeing how that group leader tells him that it was a mistake to merge, It had to hurt.But here we can not only see how amethyst feels, but we also see what pearl can do to fill the emotional void that she feels.And like this emotional emptiness, it doesn't let her think clearly.

18:27 In that part it is cut off, but Connie says something like "I am not a robot that only obeys orders". I think the context of the chapter is evident, but wow ... how many times have I felt this way, certain parents can become very demanding, and this makes their children feel miserable, makes them feel scared to speak, makes them feel the need to hide things from them For fear of being scolded / punished by their parents. (How it looks in the minute "18:51 " (Although the part where the mother finds out about everything the daughter did behind her back, all thanks to Steven) Where it is clearly seen that Connie was hiding more than 1 thing from her mother. And that her mother was totally unaware of her .Own daughter, when I really thought she knew everything about Connie
AHHHH THIS SERIES IS NOT FOR KIDS! THIS USUALLY HAPPENS TO OLDER PEOPLE AND EVEN TO CHILDREN, THIS SERIES IS INCREDIBLY GOOD.
Still dislike how this arc ends with Pearl never properly apologising, just repeatedly saying sorry and making Garnet feel like She has to move on and not herself

if u remember from the episode greg first met rose, the blonde girl getting out of the van with marty (greg's old manager) was vidalia. at this point it can be inferred that vidalia had sourcream with marty, then went on to remarry to yellowtail (fisherman guy) and have onion
i will never get over the fact that they literally put a birth tape in the cannon to prove that onion is in fact human.
Also this is not the first time that we see Vidalia, on Greg flash back from when he meet Rose she appears coming out of the van with Martin fresh out of sour cream conception.... yeah.....
this episode also confirms the theory that sour cream and onion where related(half brothers) although was pretty much confirmed back on the episode where they find peridot escape pod(he is talking about his stepfather wanting him to be a fisherman and he even "talks" on the same "language" of Yellow Tail and Onion).
onion was trully tring be friend with Steven in his weird way, let the trampolin to steven wile he jumped on the bed, showed his pet snake, and gave him the explorer gal because realised that steven doens have a mon (if you remember on onion trade he stealed hin explorer guy because misses his father).

I love seeing Ruby and Sapphire work out their feelings. They weren’t mad at each other really. It’s really hard sometimes to figure out to support someone who is justifiably angry. When your love one(s) are happy, you celebrate with them. When they are sad, you comfort them. But angry? You could either be the calm one to their flame, or stay quite and just be there, or rage with them in a United front of indignance. All three could have unexpected reactions. But anger has its place and needs to be worked through.
Onion's mum was married to Greg's manager, you'll even see her if u go back to the episode, he's Sour Cream's dad and that Yellowtail, that dude in the yellow raincoat with the boat is onion's dad
So now we know from the flashback episode where Greg met Rose that vidalia and marty were having sex in the van lol that's how sour cream was born

Also, this just came to mind. Fusions are a sequence of what looks like personal connections and maybe even love in all types of ways, take Steven and Connie or Ruby and Sapphire. So… is fusion basically another term of… well, ya know. I don’t wanna say it on here. I mean… I’m a way, it’s a love so strong it gives birth to life. It’s a deep love. I’m sorry, this just came to mind.

Fusions are intimacy. That includes sex, but other things as well.

Fusions are a representation of relationships, from romatic to platonic to familial.
Fusion is the maximum intimate connection between gems (and humans, sometimes). It doesn't equate to sex. Not necessarily, at least.
