I've picked this up and its brilliant, my own gripe is do you think this has HDR? Seems very washed out and lacking any contrast? I've had to turn my headset brightness to its lowest setting. What's your thoughts?
@@hollywooda111I mentioned this in my review. The devs are aware and hopefully it gets sorted as yes, it looks washed out currently on PSVR2

@@hollywooda111 Quest 3 here, it also looks washed af. I think they should def crank up the contrast, it would make a night and daw difference
Man. Now I finally have a reason to get vr. The 7th guest is one of my favorite game series. Also one of the first games I played with my older brother in the mid 90s.
As someone who owned the original 7th guest on PC CD ROM from release day I can't tell you how much past me would have pissed his pants knowing future me would be playing it like this one day

Same feeling I'm having. I'm just amazed walking around this house that I spent many many many hours on a old 386
The tone of the remake feels like a prestige tv horror anthology show, and the puzzles feel influenced by that plus escape room puzzles. I also really love how the puzzles were more integrated with the storytelling, and crafted to demonically mock the different guests and their flaws. Definitely very modernized. I just wish the music was much more prominent and symphonic like part of the first game. (Was really missing that powerful orchestral intro showing the house, or the club lounge 'dry bones' song. But then again, overpowering music might get to be sensory overload in a VR game.)
I remember my dad having this in a so t laser disc player in the mid 90’s I could never do the puzzles at that age , but I sat gmfours hours watching him play it on Friday nights

I'm 105 minutes in and completed two puzzles, man finished the whole game in 3 hours!

Im waiting for the developer to update the game with a Quest 3 graphics patch next week. Im hoping more developers update their games. Red Matter 2 proves how amazing a current Q2 game can look on Q3 if they upgrade the games! I didnt pay $650 for Quest 3 only to play what looks exactly the same on my Quest 2.

I gotta say, as good as the VR 7th guest is here, i think the original still has a much more unsettling vibe to it.
Also the original cast had an unique hamminess when doing their lines. Here they seems a bit flat in comparison.

I can’t I got past the wine puzzle. My game is totally different from other peoples walk-throughs. Every time the guy gets it down to four glasses on my turn and I’m screwed no matter what I choose two or one after my turn he chooses to leave it to my turn with poison wine bottle

I bought the game yesterday and it runs like shit on Reverb G2 + 3060TI combo even on the lowest settings and SS turned down to 50%. Latency and stuttering are making me literally sick. Oh and I had to swicht to SteamVR mode as OpenXR doesn't work with this game. Any thoughts on what to do?
I haven’t no because with my 3080ti only used 43% of the gpu and that was with OBS recording
@@GAMERTAGVR What headset did you use? I'm asking to see if it's a WMR+SteamVR problem. It might be compatibility issue as OpenXR frames seems fine until game crushes. I was looking forward so much to play this game as I still remember playing original 7th guest and now this :(
@@rudlzavedno7279 oh apologies. I used Quest 3 with a mixture of virtual desktop and link cable and it ran perfectly
@@GAMERTAGVR Then it must be WMR+SteamVR problem. It looks like G2 is becoming less and less usable. I'll try it on Pico 4 + VD when I get it back from a friend. Thanks for the info.

So many pros and cons compared to the original DOS game as I grew up with it. Better storyline and I like the facts that each room requires mini-puzzles to solve before the main one, a proper order of events and better interaction with puzzles and objects. The downside is the loss of most of the scary elements that gave the original its gruesome charm. Sure the creepy changing paintings and Stauf's main portrait getting angrier as the child paintings around him disappear as their souls are set free was a good touch, but the whole horror theme was downsized overall.
Still a decent remake. Would have been a nice game without the VR as a first-person, free-movement select like the original in the PC or any console.
Still hope that shy gypsy shyly spryly trysts by Stauf's crypt.
I was SO HAPPY to hear the music from the original version of the game being used in this one. But you cut the main theme short during the credits and that bummed me out. :(

They use the same line and dot technique twice
Same, I thought the lines were hold the note down longer. Most of the puzzles were just made of "game languages" and none of them were the same. I really didnt like a lot of the puzzles in this version. Just obfuscated for the sake of it.
This is interesting,I'm playing on the oculus quest 3 an whenever I go through a door it phases me into the room there is no opening the door animation,are you on steam ?
Cutting the laboratory, nursery, and crypt is one thing; but I was hoping to see the art gallery.
In my game the box (metal cage) with the hat inside magic man's room does not open with the other magic hat. Game glitch or am I just uncoordinated? It looks like there is an additional hand inside the cage that does not appear when I try.
Man. After seeing the tramp stab Elenor, I have to admit it was pretty entertaining watching her bring a knife to a gun fight with Miss Heine.

It's hard to describe, but when I'm playing this and the live-action ghosts come up, the outline/geometry of their faces and bodies seem to be changing every so slightly, which is a little bit jarring. Is this normal? I can't really tell if you're experiencing this or if other people are as they're constantly moving their heads haha

I should of bought this game for the PCVR over the Quest 3 standalone. I noticed in your gameplay there's no loading when opening the doors and entering the rooms whereas the mansion immersion feels broken by black screen loads when interacting with the door to enter the room(s). I'm so disappointed with the standalone Quest 3 capabilities.

That "game of chance" at the end was just pathetic. Why throw a game with no logic in a PUZZLE game? I tried winning 5 times before I said screw it, can you use the coins to solve it....YEP! End of game. That was terrible.
I agree. I spent the entire game trying to figure out the puzzles, only to end with the board game of chance ending. Was highly disappointed in the end game.
