    No primer needed for Vallejo? Really should advertise this more. Saves on paint and time

    • @DonSuratos

      No bro.. Just the Mecha Color Range - on plastic. 😉

      @@DonSuratos Yea, that's what I meant, definitely worth making known for people who want to skip priming if possible

      @@zergslayer69 I actually painted a whole MG without priming. ALso painted a couple of HGs. The paint is pretty strong now after months of curing. Will reveal soon! :)

    Hi does this fluorescent paint light up in normal lighting condition or just really dark room?

  • @ackmedzambosama5327

    For the white primer, do you only paint the bottom part of the beam saber? And then dont paint over it with fluorescent color?

    • @DonSuratos
      @DonSuratos  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes. Exactly. 😊

    So the Mecha Colors glow by themselves without needing black light? I'm gonna paint an Avatar's na'vi and I would like the bioluminescence to glow at night.

    • @DonSuratos
      @DonSuratos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No bro, black light / UV light will make it glow more. I just painted it to make it look like it's glowing.

      @@Luisiroth My pleasure bro. Fluo paints are very transparent though, a nice white undercoat is a must. Thanks for watching! :D

    hi sir, can i just using a brush for Fluorescent Paint?

    • @DonSuratos
      @DonSuratos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes... But it will take you 6 to 8 layers for a full coverage. I highly recommend the Vallejo Model Color flourescent ( not Mecha Color ) for hand painting. Will take you around 4 to 6 layers with Model Colors. 👍🏼

    Hi mate. Thanks for your videos. I've seen your thinning sauce use to have different ratios. Sometimes is 2:1 and sometimes is 1:1, thinner/improver. Am I wrong?

    • @DonSuratos
      @DonSuratos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It actually depends on how much or how less thinner I want to mix with the paint. Like in this video, the fluo color I used to add 1:1 thinning sauce. Now I only use flow improver. The flow improver does not thin the paints that are thin already like the fluo colors. It just helps prevent tip drying and give the paint mixture a better flow. You can't really go wrong with the ratio. It just dries differently. However, for colder climates, I advice to use less flow improver, as it might dry super slow in their weather. 👍🏼

    Is it possible to mix these fluorescent paints with regular acrylics without losing the fluorescent effect?
    For example: my shop has only fluorescent yellow in stock - can I mix it with regular blue to get fluorescent green or will the regular paint "kill" the glow?

    • @DonSuratos
      @DonSuratos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      To be honest, I never tried. What you can do, is paint blue, then glaze / paint on top. See if it turns greenish, without losing its fluo effect.
