Have you seen Independence Day: Resurgence? Also, as there was 2 things spiraling into the core I assumed one was from Death Valley and the other the Outback? Next? Anvil is so much better, but if not that, Neuromancer or maybe Hitchhikers Guide, in the tradition of Earth going boom. I’m currently reading Blood Music, not sure how I’m going to feel about it at the end.

      I havnt seen resurgence, I don't think.
We also heard of other 'bogeys' though, at least one in Mongolia talking with the USSR, and we saw the two objects land in the ocean from the point of view of one of the charecters on the boat. So I think the bogeys are just a distraction, or possibly a test.
I read neuromancer earlier this year and was blown away!
I hear Blood Music is rated as his best book by a lot of people, so I am keen to read it soon!

I liked the book, though I found the later part of the book a bit predictable making it hard for me to comment about it as it lost some of its mystery just waiting for the end. But I liked the ending it was beautiful in a sense. I continued and started reading Anvil of Stars. It's very different in tone as it would have to be. It follows Arthurs son Martin on one if the ships of law. I've not really decided yet if I like it, but it is starting to become more interresting now a third of the way into the book. It will be interresting to see your take on it when you read it 🙂

Yeah the ending didn't have any shock twists or big surprises, but I almost like that in the ending of a disaster book, the inevitability adds to the tragedy somewhat?
I am keen to get onto Anvil of Stars, I think its very likely to be the next read along book!

So, I’m curious, you’ve had Enders Game very prevalently over your shoulder for this book. How did you feel about the fact that the author was so anti-LGBTQ? He famously tried to fight a proposition here in California so I have read enders game, but I refuse to read any of his other books, being an ally of that segment of the population here. And how do you feel about authors and their political views? For example, J. K. Rowling now being put to task. Is the author separate from their personal views?

I do try to not support people who have views I'm opposed to, my enders game books are second hand, only person that got money off me for them is the nice lady at the bookstore near me.
Beyond that I don't think it's terrible to enjoy works from people you disagree with, in my case I just try to not support those people financially.
      Tough topic though.
