The Golden Buddy Truck tire demount and mount tool is designed to allow quickly remove the tire from the rim and mount the tire back on the wheel with very little effort.

Just bought it. I don't know if they make two different sizes or not but it was just an expensive tire iron had to use an old tire iron on it as well, to get it over the bead, we are breaking down 22.5 aluminum and have to use tire bar to get tool into the tire and the tire bar to get tire off the rim as well as using the new tool. Not quite the ease we were expecting that's for sure. Honestly after using it on four aluminum rims I wish my boss had just bought me a new regular tire bar.

Is there a diffetence between the golden tool and the cheaper generic imitations out there?
The golden tool was the original tool. The patent expired after years so other versions appeared. Ours is cast out of steel and warranteed. Lighter than the golden tool and 1/2 the price. Please contact us for a distributor near you at 352-799-1111.
I found the exact same set on the side of the road save me money
So it will demount and mount a aluminum 19.5 wheels without damaging them?
We had to use the regular tire bars for the smaller rims, especially 19.5

Alcoa and Accuride should be designed the 17.5 and 19.5 so that they would be dismounted and mounted like a regular wheel. Every time our mechanic has to repair a tire or fix one they always get scratched or gouge the face of the wheels. 😠

Is the bead already broken

The Golden Buddy Tire changing system works on 22.5 and 24.5 tires/wheels. We have many other tools to accommodate both smaller and larger tires (manual and air hydraulic)! We sell a pneumatic impact tool that even demounts stubborn those 19.5 tires!

You are correct, Thumper! The more lube the better. Our fastest 22.5 tire changer in the building is a 19-year-old! It's all in practice of leverage and lube. Once you get the motion down, the process becomes quite easy.
