Diesel works better up here in the frozen north, soapy water or bead lube freezes on the tire, cracks, and falls off, when it's really cold the Diesel gells, but it's still slick.

I purchased it few years ago when it was $70 And I can tell it is the best tool out there. Couple minutes is enough to take the tire off and put the new one on. For the lube I mix gallon of water And I add 2 oz of body wash and and 2 oz of mineral oil the best solution ever.

Nice. I've used one for years. I don't know why anybody squirts the whole sidewall when they're trying to lube the bead. Murphy's oil soap tire dismounting compound comes with a tire mouse. 90% of the time you can just slug the sidewall with the hammer end of your tire ax and not the ax and it will break down. Step on the tire and the tire mouse slips in the bead area and on to the wheel and lubess both the bead and the wheel. Insert your tool with your foot and step right beside it like a dirt bike footpeg on the wheel and then on the back 180 of the tire to drop it in the drop center as you're prying down. You will be stepping off onto the floor as you're prying once it starts moving. You let the tool fall out.. don't let the tool fall out. The next grab catches the back bead and sometimes it doesn't. If you put your toe under the tire it will raise the back bead and it will catch easier if this happens.

Use Murphy’s tire soap , use carpet keep from scratching aluminum wheels and inflate tire to 5 psi while in a horizontal position . This keeps the toe of the tire from rolling under . If not having tire cage finish tire inflation after installing assembly . Use a 6 foot whip hose to air tire . Listen closely to irregular sounds from tire . If heard scrap tire . Tires are considered bombs . Stay Safe !

  • @mikeskidmore6754

I would think that Diesel Fuel would destroy the Rubber. They sell Murphy soap to dismount tires.. It is thick and you mix it with warm water.
I use Freylube in the new tire beads it helps to eliminate leaks at the bead.. Keeps the tire from spinning on the bead .. and makes them are easier to dismount in the future. I run off road ect where I don't wear tires out fast .. Maybe only after 5 years of seasonal use .

Good job bro..but not work with 315/80R22.5

It does work on 315's, it is sometimes just a little tricky hooking the bottom bead. That problem can be solved easily using your foot, assuming you are wearing steel or composite toe boot. Just stick your foot under the tire as close to the bead as you can then pull the bar of the tool down to hook the bottom bead. Dont want to use your foot, you can use a block of wood or a wheel chock.

Diesel is not a good idea to lubricate a tire. It is very bad for rubber and for skin. It also dissolves asphalt. Be sure to clean the rim off before reinstalling a tire. Best to use tire lube.

Damn diesel... Get soapy water and not stink and stain where you work and environmental factors too

My thoughts exactly!! I have been changing truck tires for 30 years or so and I have never heard of anybody using diesel!?!? I use Dawn dish soap mixed with water. 15-20% soap and 80-85% water and it works great and rinses off with water!!! I used wd40 one time on the side of the road and it made a absolute mess!!!!
