Very informative. Those look just like the countless number of barely used tires that used to disappear from our trailers when they went across the border. There’s nothing like picking up and empty in San Diego and then taking it directly to the shop for all new rubber and lights!! The wall sure ain’t going to fix that problem.
That’s why you put wheel locks and gps tracking so it doesn’t happen.
if you use a clip on air chuck and stand out of the way and it blows are you safe? but the n oise would be super loud?

marvily eduards What colors are you talking about? You have red and blue, what other color airlines do you mean? The green wire? That is a wire, not an airline. also, blue is service, red is emergency. Now..... if your talking about under the dash or under the hood, I need a photo to be sure. Or the type of truck (volo, ftl, pb, kw, etc) and where and what it's located on.

Daves Nothereman just use a couple of crow bars. Find ones where the ends might work better with the wheel.
That tool will fuck up any nice rims you have just use a dead blow sledge it works way better

Why can’t road service charge $20.00 for labor to replace a tire. At $140.00 per hour two hours minimum and $2.50 per mile is theft! I mean it ain’t like they pay. Liability Insurance, garage insurance, service truck insurance, workers comp, compressor gas, employee, service truck payment, tool payment, service truck gas, service truck maintenance, phone bill, 24/7 answering service, and all this done at 2:30 am. Why not $20.00 road service is ripping us off!
If that was a cheap chinese tire like the ones I put on, it wouldnt look nearly as easy lol

It's easy but dangerous. Most shops make $100 dollars an hour plus. 200 dollar tire change is cheap.

Omg lol. 200 bucks to change a tire on the road. Just take a couple crow bars with you and do it yourself. My dad was getting used tires at 50 bucks, sometimes multiple for the price and just changing them himself each time they blew.

This is my type of work i can get a set of 10 new mounts and dismounts done in about 20mins and thats me doing all ten the rite way and airing them up and putting them on this rigs

I've done this job for over a decade and I could have done it safer and way faster this guy is slow as hell and ya if it blew he'd be dead...I'm not impressed at all.
bustinuts I'm going past 4 decades and have seen a lot -leg in rim , soap to spray in your eyes ,hose where it shouldn't be and no mark what direction the old tire rotated on and on I guess he'll learn I watched others get injured and learned not to do that

George Washington Dead, your supplying a worse case scenario. These guys do this for a living, I'm sure they know the dangers. I've had one tire blow on me in two years. I've had six that could have. It does not just blow, there is always and I mean always sound before it blows. There are signs. These guys should be aware of those. Granted it may not help.
I will agree that they should use a cage, always use a cage. The only times I don't is on rims that are on the truck already. Even then I stay well away from that tire. And I know it's not safe, but some times it is your only option. Either do it that way or tell billy bob he's gonna have to go down the road. I've done that as-well.
