- Winter is upcoming and we need new dumb things to do. For this weekend we took on the challenge to K-Swap a 04' Honda Civic in 12 hours! We had all the required parts in place so there were no obstacles in the way. Should have been doable within the given time frame ... but things never work out as planned, especially while working on cars.

Looks amazing. Would you guys ever do a write up on how to swap a k24 into an em2? Also would you guys ever consider doing other chassis besides the em2? Maybe something that's not even Honda powered from factory?

A K24 is as efficient as a K20Z2. So why go with a K24?

Nah, that was a different civic, this one had the 2004 face-lift, the other one was before the face-lift

Take the clutch pedal and shifter assembly from a manual 01-05 civic with the K-Series motor + manual gearbox to make it work

What about with power steering? In EP3 is electrical, in em2 is hydraulic.
There's no power steering on this one. You could swap in the EP3's electric steering rack or mount a pump

im in the middle of swaping a k24 out of an accord into my 2004 civic, can i use the accord ecu with an adapter hanes and emobelizer delete? or do i need a kpro
Yes, you can use the accord ecu with the immobilizer bypass

@@kpowered, trying to figure out how to go about my immobilizer issue,right now I have the 05 rsx ecu in it but there isn’t any bypasses compatible with this ecu, I’ve seen you’ve used a stock civic ecu while doing your swap before, I was wondering what all you had to repin to get it to communicate with the k20 engine?
@@joshtyler2304 kpowered.net/civic-em2-es1-es2-k-swap-wiring/ shows all the rewiring procedure as well as the far sensor wiring. In regards to the immo, isn't K-Tuned's immo bypass compatible? If not, you could still stop by any Honda dealer and get the immo system synced with your keys.
@@kpowered thanks man, and for the immo ktuned is saying it’s only compatible on the prb a01-a12 and I have the a13, they say the wirings different
@@kpowered and I don’t have the ignition and key out of the Acura, so every honda I call is telling me they can’t do it because it’s and Acura ecu, and every Acura I call is saying they can’t cause it’s a honda key
