Walking in the Footsteps of Giants: Kokoda Trail expedition finale

James Marape, as they traverse the historic Kokoda Trail. This two-day expedition, hailed by Prime Minister Albanese as "walking in the footsteps of giants," unfolded between April 23-24, 2024.
On Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Isurava, both prime ministers paid homage to ANZAC Day with a poignant Dawn Service, paying tribute to the valor of those who fought on these revered grounds.
