People complaining about the looks and exhaust but they dont even realize the beauty of this car. Ofcourse for some pople think its ugly because they only care for style and modern looking cars but this 911 right here is a piece of art that should be driven evryday and appreciated :))
One of the best videos you guys have ever made!!! The shots driving through the desert , and the shots driving through Fremont street and downtown Las vegas!!! Beautiful! Not to mention this is one of the most gorgeous cars I've ever seen!
I'm not really a fan of speedsters or convertibles for that matter, but the owners knowledge and passion about this car (plus the film quality) changes all of that. The work they put into is was really cool to hear about, thanks for sharing!
I love this channel, it’s not about showing off who has the better supra or something... Its about culture, and thats what being a car enthusiast is really about. The culture 😎
You guys inspire me to go to the classifieds to look for 993s, only to finish in disappointment when I realize how expensive they’ve gotten and how poor I am. Thanks.
That is one fine conversion!! Well done! The attention to detail is stunning. Looks totally "factory". I remember seeing one of the first 964 Speedsters, in white, at Vasek Polak's in 1989(?), fell in love. A French model car company issued a 1/43 scale model in resin around that time and I bought a dozen of them...sold them through the shop. Saw Seinfeld's conversion at a Rodeo Drive car show and it was spectacular.
AWESOME VIDEO! Congrats Jaeger! Sweet sweet car that I had the pleasure to check out in person at Rennsport Reunion... The exhaust comments are hilirous -- Fister Stage III if I'm not mistaken :) :) :)
I may not like Porsches as much as other German cars, but i can see that a lot of work and thought went into this one. And that, i can appreciate. Excellent piece.
For those of us who love and adore Porsche's, there's been a long standing, friendly debate on "964 vs 993." As an owner of a 1990 964 Carrera 2, I obviously prefer mine. In fact I respectfully disagree with Karen when she says the 993 harkens back to the more classic 911. IMHO, that's exactly why I prefer the 964 over the 993. To me the 964 has more of the classic lines of the early 911's than does the 993. And honestly I've never really been a fan of the speedster "reissues" or "continuations" or modern versions of the original. However as long as I was using wrecked 993's or 964's as my donors (i can never bring myself to take good Porsche's of any variant off the road for the sake of a project, thus using wrecked ones.) But I think if I were going to build a modern 993 speedster I'd want it to look exactly like this one. I'm sure it cost them a fortune and I'd think there's other Porsche's I'd spend my money on rarther than a one-off 993 speedster, still it's a pretty special car.
@@Shidoshi578 Absolutely. Honestly I really don't understand people who compare 993's to 964's (And earlier 911's) because, at least to my eye, the 993 moves further away from the classic 911 lines than ever before. The beauty of the 964 is that there's a direct aesthetic line from it to the first 911's. I don't hate 993's and having a 993 is better than having no 911 at all but 964's are the last of the "classic" and "pure" 911's.
I owned a 74' 911 for years. Loved it and had a ton of fun in it, but I would take a 993 over that body style anyday. The 964s are nice, especially the turbos, but they are kinda chunky looking to me, especially the front ends. They look best as Singer conversions IMO.
Agreed, the 993 is my least favourite 911, leaving out the 991 and 992, because those are now GT cars, not sport cars. It looked kinda saggy, which the 996 fixed again (although it also introduced the fried egg headlights, which are not universally loved).
Hey Petrolicious, love your videos, watch em every Tuesday morning and I have been waiting for another Porsche addition and this was great! But I would like to suggest an episode on a porsche 550 if you can access one of those. Keep up the great work :)
I’m unsure if I’m picking the story up correct. She says they found a car that had already been converted then bought it. But then goes onto explain about how they started the process to convert? Huh.
Thank you Karen and thank you Pedro this is for a great car and the great episode can you please tell me what that song was when she is cruising in Las Vegas thank you so much
I have felt envy twice in my life, make that three times. The 993 IS the one to have and in this guise it may just be the most desireable of all. Bravo! P.S. I hate you!
Just doesn't look right to me: the hump just seems way too high, or maybe it's the widebody - I dunno, it just doesn't 'flow'. The 1989 version just looks better integrated, but this just looks way too big. Just my opinion anyway! (Oh, and what is up with that exhaust? It sounds like a can with a hole in it - that engine should NOT sound like that!).
I never cared for the late model speedsters. And air cooled cabs in general don't look great IMO, top up or down. 911s look best as coupes to me. This is a very nice car, but I'd rather have my air cooled dream 911, a bone stock 993 4S in Zenith Blue.
Man, I just shot a bunch of footage at redrock, drone and driving stuff. Gave me some good ideas as well, for future shots. Fremont has some great style these days...come a long way.

It sounds like they put a Beetle 1300cc engine in it.
it legitimately sounded like a lawnmower when they showed it starting up
Yeah but it’s a 1300 with a stinger exhaust... :)
It deserves a proper exhaust pipe and there is no better than akrapovic for that job
