Great video again, I just love what Porsche is doing to remain engaged with the customer base long after the first sale. It would have been informative to know what the costs were to do this (outside the cost of the original car). Nice work PCA, you guys are producing some quality material.
Glad you enjoyed it! To start the conceptual phase takes about $100,000, but anything after that is tough to speculate on, but it is almost certainly in the millions to take a Sonderwunsch car to completion.
@ PCA - great content. No one takes better care of their members better than PCA. The speedster is beautiful. If you re-visit this car could you go into the treatment of the former back seat area? Suspension set up? The windshield doesn’t look like it accomodates it, but does it come with a soft top? Great job Sonderwunsch!!
It uses a 964 Speedster top. Not only is the windshield from a 964 Speedster, but the cowling that holds the wipers is also from a 964. It's easily seen since the 993 wipers were closer together than the 964. I believe the suspension was also from the 993 Carrera RS.
Look at how close the ropes are placed to the car. They really give the enthusiasts an opportunity to "sniff it out", as we need to. It ain't the Louvre.
Love the car. Hate that they got rid of the iconic wipers close together in the center? Also I don’t agree with resetting the odometer to 0. That’s just me. Beautiful car!
The Turbo Twists look awful when painted in black without leaving the outter bit in silver, the yellow stripe just doesn't cut it. This is a great project, but it ain't my cup of tea in terms of styling, details and overall looks, it may be on purpose that it's somewhat controversial, OK. I don't get the mix of oldschool Mirrors and all this godawful modern details like the Lights. OMG, those Lights, they're so...I mean, who the actual fck would change the Eyes of his Girl or wIfe. Who does that to people?
