  • Update - March 2015: We're still fundraising - we've raised £366,000, enough for the basic shed and roof, but if we get to £385,000 by September, we will be able to afford the roof supports and section of the two-storey building for the additional facilities needed. Many thanks for all your support so far! - www.bluebell-railway.co.uk/blu...
    ----------------------
Operation Undercover Phase 4 - the Horsted Keynes carriage shed extension. If we can raise £125,000 to match the £125,000 promised by sponsors by mid-November (The Double Donations Dash - DDD125), we can get a roof over 10 carriages. If we raise another £100,000 on top of that, we'll have enough money to complete the roof over all 20 carriages.
You can find out more, and donate, at:

Glen, It's a possibility, but there's also a suggestion that the LBSCR First should be in LBSCR livery...
In any case, neither will happen until the coaches need a full repaint, which is many years away.

Will the LSWR lavatory brake be put into SR green at some point to match the birdcage, hundred seaters and LBSCR first?

Well, we've built the shed structure and roof, and have money to continue to fit out the maintenance part of the shed with lighting (just gone in) and more concrete, and finish the drainage. We'll need to raise a lot more money to build walls and fit out the Heritage Skills Centre.
The track-laying guys are at full stretch with relaying sections of our main line, so the remaining work to get track into the storage shed will take place once that's done, later next Spring, and we aim to get carriages stored under cover in there by next Autumn.
