This is impressive because their F150 seems to truly put out 775hp at the crank. I've seen supposedly 700+hp Shelby/Roush f150s get destroyed by the much heavier TRX rated at 702hp.
I think we have seen the same video, and therefor got the same video recommended (: i had the same exact thaught. This one is properly tuned.

From what I know the Shelby trucks have a bad tune and roush is just watered down garbage

So apparently the TRX was built for drag racing because I have yet to see it do anything impressive off-road.
Lol there's always that truck owner with big 37's and rugged tires all the capabilities of off roading and will never touch the dirt idk some dudes just over compensate not sure what there deal is all show, no skill and no purpose is what it sounds like... posers are ridiculous ha.
The trx kills the off-road btw it gets down. Unfortunately you'll have to find an off-road review on them most dudes in person just buy them to try to obtain vagina lol or just to pose it lol

Even if you it was a full size it will still destroy the trx that's what FORD does it may take some time but they always kill their competition and the Shelby is one bad ass truck

Here comes the excuses and the whimpering. There's no such thing as an unfair race you're either fast or you're not. This is just a demonstration of the physics involved in the price you pay for having an offroad truck. When you start saying "I'm only fast in comparison to other vehicles if you exclude this long list of vehicles that includes just about every vehicle on the road that's actually fast" you are in reality slow.

I have an 03 f150 that stock with 4.2l v6 I want to modify the engine but I dont see places or see my type engine parts to do so I thought of putting turbo or supercharger but I'm afraid blowing up my only ride does Hennessy do anything on old vehicles

Yeah, definitely. There's a ton of factors involved, but even so, who expected anything else? No factory truck is gonna be built to be as fast as ones offered in the aftermarket.
Hate races where its all but 2 different classes of cars. Ya you can do it. It's just not fun. It was easy to figure out who was gonna win if you know your vehicles.

I think it was a good demonstration of why you shouldn't even try to be fast in an offroad truck because physics will not allow it. If you want an offroad truck & you want to be fast you need two vehicles.

This is absolutely a fair race any race is a fair race the only complainers are the losers. This just shows why throwing a bunch of horsepower into an offroad truck is like pouring beer into a solo cup with a pencil sized hole in the bottom and wondering why it never gets full. The old saying is jack of all master of none and TRX is a wicked truck but it takes two vehicles to accomplish everything it's trying to do.

TRX isn't designed for hardtop racing. But a combination of and on. Way better truck regardless than a found on Road dead truck.
Dodge must have intended it for hard top racing because 700hp is massive overkill on the dirt.
If the TRX was a single cab short bed truck with a hellcat then it would be a different race.. that truck is fucking massive

I would like to see a street version of the trx. A trx is an off road truck and can beat any other off road truck there is, well still waiting for the Raptor R, but a single cab lowered trx would be a more evenly matched race.

Why are they letting off the trx as soon as they launch it. It aint shifting gears at 2 mph of course it woulda lost the race anyways but you can hear the motor stops revving right after the launch moved maybe 1 foot

Just watched the same supercharged 775 Venom engine F150 dual cab truck race the TRX and Hennessey did not show 0-60, just rolling races?
the one thing I find funny is when the trx wins there's bragging and showboating my 6000+lb truck can embarrass your sports car at a stoplight but if it loses the excuses my suspension's too high my truck's too heavy but if you brag that the trx can embarrass your car why is it a problem when it's beat by another truck just take the L bruh

That point being there's no such thing as an unfair race you're either fast or you're not. Because it was an advertisement for Hennessey. The TRX traction control was probably left on , and too low of an rpm at the start.

Well I think this validates the known. Built tuned and lighter in weight versus stock and heavier with less power. I dont feel that It was much in the air of knowing the true outcome. More power lighter and built should always win when dont correctly in similar class vehicles.

It's not as if they were comparing equivalent styles and equipment. The Ram had a bed cover, crew cab with four doors and a back seat, large off road tires, a lot less hp than the Ford's tuned engine. Silly comparison, tbh.

If you want/need a TRX/Raptor for their offroad capabilities that's one thing but if you also want to be fast then you will need the bank roll for a second vehicle that can actually run because an offroad truck cannot.
Put some street/strip tires and remove spare from trx then see how it fares. Not saying it'll win, just makes for a better comparison tbh. Coming from a ram and mustang gt owner lol

Whatever happened to lining up...and blasting down the track? Easy. No problem. Today, you have to select the right launch mode- You have to adjust the suspension from "Trail" to "Track". You have to put the gearing from "Sport" to "Race". You have to set your seat belts from "Daily" to "Race". You have to fix the Seat comfort from "Soft" to "Firm". The steering wheel from "Normal" to "Race day". You have to adjust the leveling system from "Normal" to "Competition". You have to do this, you have to do that. Nope. I like the old days.

Transmission's also play a factor the Ford F-150 has a 10 speed automatic transmission were as the Ram Trx has a 8 Speed automatic transmission the 10 speed will win most of the time because the first gear can be much taller and then in 10 gear your in overdrive and with more gears to work with the shift points can be much closer together which means your not losing as much engine RPM's during gear changes in the transmission.
What if you put semi slicks on the TRX?
It'd ruin the entire point of the truck.

@@leocortaza7247 It won't really do anything. Drag slicks are for traction issues and the TRX is full time AWD. It's not fast enough for traction to be an issue.

Ford can barely fill orders of the Broncos. Deliveries pushed down later 22-23. The R is probably fords way of holding customer from buying trxs at this point. V8s have 2 years left and will be gone. If the R comes out it's been said it will be only 900 units. Good luck getting one and dealer markups on the $30-40k... Expect $150k for a loaded R unit. Most Ford fanboys will remain V6 drivers until electric is the norm. Those wanting production high Hp will need to get TRXs.
If supercharging a Ford V8 was all needed to beat the TRX Shelby would have done with that engine already. You add off road capability and big tires,the truck gets heavy. Who wants a single cab F150? You can get a much nicer vehicle that goes faster for that money Hennessey wants for this thing

The Mammoth 1000 would need to be a Mammoth 1200 to have the power to weight ratio to win that race.
Lets see. Why did the TRX get beaten so badly??
1. TRX is much heavier than the F-150 due to: being a double cab and having terrain tires
2. TRX is less powerful
3. TRX has a much higher center of gravity
