- I've been running into a lot of folks in unranked/ranked that keep telling me how much they appreciated my videos, so that gave me the inspiration to make this video.
I do feel like this is more of a mentality video than anything, so I tried to convey the process I go through when trying to improve a certain skill, in this case, dribbling. You can easily apply this to learning other advanced skills, like double flip resets, wall stops, or whatever you can think of!
I'll also be trying to feature music by some of my, in my opinion, wildly-talented friends in future videos.
This one features my good friends, Carl and Alan Maguire. Alan's got an incredible ability for composition, writing the first two pieces by the time he was 19. Carl... well damn, just have a listen to his solo at the end. It's hard to describe what he does to audiences, but it's as if he's a conductor, controlling the energy in the room, slowly walking the tempo and complexity up to a crescendo. Absolutely electric, I always get goosebumps when I get to see that live. These guys are massively talented, so show them some love!

If you ever do some more "1s til I lose," I'd love to see the eye tracker again. Seems like a great way to get a better sense of how you're seeing the field.

I love your content. I’ve probably watched most of your training videos a couple dozen times now trying to grab every little bit of information but also because some drills were to advanced the first time I tried them so I had to come back to try them again at a later date. I’m still working on my aerial car control using the pillars in the parkour map for 20 mins almost daily and it’s really works. I’m so glad you posted more about dribbling because it’s also another weakness of mine and I was having trouble finding a good starting point. Thank you for posting another great video and I hope you continue to provide such a great service to the RL community.

I noticed on my own gameplay a couple of days ago that I was lacking on powerslide dribbles, and I thought to myself "boy, I could really use a kevpert video on the subject right now. Too bad he spotted uploading years ago". Then this gem popped up out of nowhere. Talk about good timing. Thanks for another excellent tutorial, you don't cease to exceed expectations. i just started practicing this last week and didnt really know what to do besides dribbling between the goals in free play but my man kev came back to save the day

I've already read the books that you recommended in the description a couple of months ago, and I cannot stress enough how fantastic they are at helping you identify what you need to focus on to improve at anything. Definitely go give them a read. I'm a huge fan of Daigo Umehara - not only because of his greatness as a player, but also because of the work he has done to pave the way to esports for future generations.
I'm more of an analytical type of guy, so I did find myself overthinking and overcomplicating my training and gameplay. So Inner Game was massively helpful in learning to trust my body and let my play happen organically.
Daigo is a boss! I think he's still a top 20 player at the age of 39 or so. Insane longevity. Glad you found the books enjoyable.
@@Kevpert yeah, The Inner Game made so much sense. It's like when you've got an open net, which is in theory very simple to score, but when you overthink it, it sort of clogs up your mind-body connection and you end up botching something that you would usually score in your sleep. I remember Smellsworth recommending it as well on his Salt Cast with Arsenal (Salt Cast #20, 57:10), along with another great book called _Zen in the Art of Archery_ .
