Very nice setup. I closed my business and retired in 2020 after 34 years doing lock work. I’m always impressed watching other locksmiths doing a great job for our industry. Thank you for sharing and keep up the great work. 👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I, too, thank you allot, Sir. I too partake in this love for our industry, this isn't just about money. It's the commitment of being available 24/7 always with a smiley face, and the joy of knowing you have made a great work. 🤝 ⚜🗝⚜
Honestly, most of the locksmiths I've met are highly intelligent, organized people who are honest and friendly. I really like your setup! The "missing" fan, that already has a switch (and most likely the wiring) reminds me that I have a few things like that myself. My suburban work vehicle I am a LED lighting specialist, installing on commercial property, private property, and automotive (fleet) applications. I have three switches that are for future"upgrades" such as lighting for night installs. However I discovered they aren't all that necessary or needed all that often... Someday I might even finish those"projects"....
Ty for this video. You have a very good van set-up for locksmithing. I am a retired locksmith. Owned my own business for many years, then became prison locksmith, then working for someone else till retiring. My vans were well supplied but back then all my cabinets were wooden. I had so much work that I had to give work away to other locksmiths. Seeing your van tour really makes me miss locksmithing. One of the few occupations that I really enjoyed. It was always interesting to see peoples reactions when you opened a car or home or safe. I also learned that I was not a business man, because if I could have done it all for free, I would have, because it was just fun. I wish you the best Sir on your continued locksmith career. Thank you
I enjoyed the video! It's great to see the ins and outs of your van. Your organization skills are impressive. Keep up the good work! I always look forward to your content.
Thank you for sharing! I just took over my dad's locksmith business and want to organize our vans better. Love your setup with the work bench right up front. I bought similar drawers to the ones you have for transponder keys for all of our transponder keys and key fobs. They work great. I also like the Dewalt drawers you have too. We have all Adrian Steel and someone, myself included, always forgets to lock them before driving.
Your work space is very very neat. I would have loved to see a video of you building your vehicle up. The workspace is very very neat. Please do more videos. Especially on the equipment that you use
Thank you so much for the ideas 🙏 I work for another company right now and was wondering how to set up their van without putting too much money and work into a setup that they would take with the van when I eventually leave. The tstak system is 100% my solution and I never thought of it. Happy to say my van is nearly completely organized and set up and when I leave it will almost be an empty shell 🤘🏻
Those are great labor rates I wish I tought about it first…in remodeling and home repairs you run in issues like that where people want to pay whatever they want to pay and they don’t know how hard is to start a small business and take care of your customers and delivery quality jobs I do love how professional you treat each of your customers and that’s a plus keep up the great work 👋😊👋
My cousin owns an appliance and furniture business. He and I believe everyone should be in business once in their lives to see how much work it is, and what it costs to run a business.
I never knew how technical this was .I'm an old marine that welds. I enjoy building stuff and working on my own equipment I have no idea how to open a lock.i just use my torch 😊..I have really enjoyed these videos. Much respect to the business you have built. It is very interesting Semper fi
From one locksmith to another, this is a sweet set up!!! 🎉 If you get a chance to do a video on how how run your power in the van, that would be awesome.
I’ve watched all your vids on Tik tok a few times lol. I love your hustle man. Your setup is awesome as well, so we’ll put together and organized, you’re just ready for what ever call is thrown at you! It makes me want to become lock smith and start my own little gig. But I’m doing great where I’m at.
This is cool! I work as a bag boy at a supermarket, people always lock their keys in the vehicle. I always help unlock the vehicle but using a shim, wire and stuff like that. But this is super interesting!. I always feel good helping a person get back in. How would a person start something like this? The business? The education side of it
I love your van I wish I have one like yours for my equipment, but you forgot the space for the coffee maker and the coffee cup!! 🤣🤣👍👍 Have a nice day, grettings from México
That’s an awesome setup! My anti-“OCD” (reverse of ocd) was going crazy! I must be living a really sheltered life as I didn’t know dewalt made pullout drawer combos. I need to look into those. My stuff is where I can find it but I’m still extremely disorganized. Thanks for sharing!
I just discovered your channel -- thanks for the van tour. The Dewalt drawers looks nice. Any worries about the plastic breaking over time? And I'd be interested in that video about how you have the van powered.
Thanks for taking the time to share this video. Nicely organized and professional. What company makes the desk or assembly. I wish you all of the prosperity you desire!
Hello and congratulations on the good work. What programming machines do you use most often and which models? For example Autel.... I am new to this business and still learning. Thank you very much.
Hello, thank you for this wonderful content, we hope that you will make a video about how anyone can start this business, what are the basic tools that he should start with, how to work, and an explanation about the use of tools, thank you very much❤
As a new locksmith.. what machines, tools, and tablet software would you not have purchased.. I'm having a hard time figuring out what I need to get by with a limited budget.😢 I have all the basic tools, lockout, lishi but the more expensive machines, I can't make up my mind. Need help
Very nice set up.. im currently working with locksmith company for 7 years.. we used the smart pro and autel 608. What do you personally recomend for programer
Awesome video, thanks for sharing. I want to redo my van with a focus on automotive, but I'm not sure how to do it yet. Those Dewalt drawers are cool, but they don't have enough room for my car keys. I'm thinking some combination of drawers and bins on the wall. Keep up the youtube videos!
Jonathan, does your boy fancy taking on my TH-cam videos? 😊 I’m going through that period where I need a break from TH-cam but he’s honestly done a great job with this!! Well done Horsley Jnr 👍🏼👏🏼
What brand or what drawers are using on the wall for your transponder keys? And would definitely like to see a video on your power set up. Whole thing looks like a great setup!
Love the setup man you have a rolling workshop, i'm sure that is big money in that van and i'm curious about the weight of it. Auto repair places and towing shops always get scared when they see a van like that.
Can I ask how much you make a month on average? Also, how many jobs do you complete in a day? Are you self-employed? I'm interested in possibly becoming a locksmith.
Hey, I’m a locksmith that’s only been doing it for a year, also focused mostly on automotive. It depends largely in your area but if you are doing it yourself expect maybe 2-5k a month but it will steadily grow as you learn more and get more specialized tools so you can do more advanced jobs. That is an estimate based on relatively steady work though, which can vary depending on your area, amount of competition, advertising, time of year, etc. It can be described as a “feast or famine” type of career at times so prepare for that, and be smart with your money when it’s pouring in and know it will ebb and flow.
It would be cool to have an LED strip underneath the table with the blue mat, to light the drawers underneath there. Just a convenience thing that could be cool on a switch
I'm brand new to your channel and would love to see how you are getting electricity. Is it solar/? Maybe you already made a video. If so I'll find out very soon as I watch
I've been looking to do some drawer setup in my trailer once I saw your van setup, I noticed in the back your using the newer style Dewalt drawers Vs the front is the older style, which do you prefer?
So the drawers in the back are actually different they are bigger and they won't work to stack with the ones in the front. Not sure if they are newer or not but I love the ones that are in the front, they are great but they are small so they will work for small parts or tools. The ones in the back will be good for bigger stuff.. hope I was able to answer the question 🤝🙏😊
Looks like most of your space is taken up with inventory of replacement car keys. Is that the majority of your calls? When you have to pick the locks, are you mostly using Lishi tools?
It used for universal remote generation, chip cloning and generation, it can control my key cutting machine. It have a lot of functions but that's what I use most.
Great video. Thanks for sharing. I'm about to build out a van. I was starting to wondering about the steel drawers vs. DeWalt drawers but you answered my question. If you had to put a dollar amount on your rig for insurance purposes what would you guess to replace it?

hi thanks for the video . do you have the part number for those dewalts plastic tool boxes ???
Love the setup man you have a rolling workshop, i'm sure that is big money in that van and i'm curious about the weight of it. Auto repair places and towing shops always get scared when they see a van like that.
Nice set up by the way!!

What training do you suggest to become locksmith, if someone is finding hard time finding apprenticeship
I have a locksmith technician coming here to change or fix the wafers in my ignition switch.seems to be a big issue on Hondas.
And what camera do you use very clear looks like a clips to your head

Hey awesome videos you have. Did you go to school to learn this trade? Im curious about it and might want to pursue it.
How do you mount the boxes for moving the tstack?
Also what are those cabinets in the back driver side? Or are they single drawers?
How much would you say you have invested in total?
I went to your website and looked at which cameras you use. Which do you prefer the GoPro or Insta360?
Above the desk, he said that little cabinets have transponder keys who makes those and where do you find them the drawers?
How much space do you have in the middle? Do you sit in a chair while cutting keys?
Live the videos i want to see a in depth look at what tools you use amd how you use them if you could please looking at starting my own business
Chris, I know that it gets cold in Idaho in the winter. Does the cold affect your equipment in the van?
Looks like most of your space is taken up with inventory of replacement car keys. Is that the majority of your calls?
When you have to pick the locks, are you mostly using Lishi tools?
What is the orange and black device on the workbench for?
