    I purchased 5 new wheels and tires with sensors. Every time I rotate my tires I have to go to Bell Tire to have them use a computer sensor tool so my tire indicator on the dash will go out. This thing (gizmo) will fit in the glove box! Thank you for posting this video!

    Great video. I’m thinking this may work for the issue I’m having. I went to the dealership today for an oil change and tire rotation and about halfway home got the service tire monitoring system light on the dash. Three of the four tires show the tire pressure but the left front doesn’t. Maybe the tech just didn’t reset the sensor when he rotated the tires on that one tire and this device would do the trick? What do you guys think? Trying to save another trip back there.

    I have a 2021 Chevy Colorado V6. Actually you don’t even need the tool that was purchased on Amazon. All you need to do is go to the checkmark or however you can reset your TPMS. Once you reset it and you get the message that pops up. You say yes and from that point all you do is drive the truck for about one minute and it will reset itself to the correct psi that is in the tire at the current time. All you do is add or take away any amount of air to get the correct psi that you want. Great video sir! Hope both options helo

    • @fondupot
      @fondupot  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is outlined in the owners manual. To enter learning mode, key in, ignition on without starting the truck. Use the MENU button on your turn signal stalk to get to the tire pressure screen. Then press the SET/CLR button. A message should pop up asking to begin. Press SET/CLR again to confirm. The horn should beep twice and the screen should say TIRE LEARNING ACTIVE. Then follow the rest of the steps in the video.

    • @fondupot

      Not stupid at all. If you perform your own tire rotations at home, you need to reset the TPMS so that your computer shows the correct tire pressure at each corner. Also, lots of people like to keep two sets of tires (winter/summer tires) so they can swap them on and off, and program their TPMS without having to go to a shop.

    • @kevinvoyer5053

      @@fondupot Oh yea! Great DIY videos! But man that price! I see there’s a whole new way of dismantling new vehicles, with the flat plastic pry tools, plus the way wires are now run through a computer to control everything, I guess it’s called CANBUS? I could’ve the mirrors in that requires no wiring, but I’m sure and cautioned that will cause serious warranty issues, down the road if anything were to require attention to the front doors, or anything electrical related? I’ll need to talk to my dealer about the whole situation, before I attempt to do anything. You folks need to lobby GM to supply these fantastic American made mirrors to them, so they can include them on the options list! That and the poor headlights are an ongoing issue with the Colorado/Canyon twins! Other than those two issues, I feel the twins are the best midsized trucks on the market, for any need.

    • @fondupot
      @fondupot  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kevinvoyer5053 yes the mirrors are pricey, but they are customizable, to the point where extra wiring wouldn't be required. Depending on the options you buy with them, they can be simple plug n play with existing wiring. Or if you opt for some of the extra features like me, the extra wiring is required. I have other videos on headlight upgrades as well. You should check those out. I am running Benebolt LED bulbs currently and they are fantastic. I agree, the Colorado/Canyons are great trucks. I love mine. Thanks for watching!

    • @kevinvoyer5053

      @@fondupot so when you say plug an play, what does that include, see I have a WT, but have the appearance package and convenience package that includes the white color match caps, power adjust, I believe is all. So I can get just power adjusted and plug right in? I’m reluctant to add LED’s because I have the reflector type headlights and manufactures warn against too much scatter and glare. So I’m thinking about projector type lights, but then again the warranty issues. Because when I bought it, I haggled with the dealer to get an 84 month 100,000 miles bumper to bumper warranty!

    • @fondupot
      @fondupot  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kevinvoyer5053 Yes, your current mirrors would just unbolt and unplug and new ones could just bolt on, and plug in to existing wires. You'd retain your power mirror adjustments.

  • @r0bv123
    @r0bv123 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Looked like your TPMS was ok when you first started, so I am wondering why you needed to do this? I understand from other folks if the TPMS wasn't working or the warning light came on and need to reset the system. But if all the tires are working properly, what's the reason for doing this?

    • @fondupot
      @fondupot  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It was just a product demo. Yea my TPMS were fine but if you rotate your tires on your own, you’ll need the TPMS reset tool to correct the tire positions in the computer. This tool won’t fix a faulty TPMS module tho.
