    How to change TPMS Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors video: th-cam.com/video/7fSTuz4fc5Q/w-d-xo.html

    It works !! Did this on a 2008 H3 Alpha with 4 new sensors. Discount Tire (huge national chain) installed them with 4 new Michelin tires and told me the sensors must have been defective out of the box because they could not get them to work. They could not get the service TPM message and low pressure tire icon to turn off. They told me to send them back to the source I purchased them at on Amazon. Then I found this video and tried it and it worked. The service light went off and then the low pressure yellow flat tire icon went off as soon as I returned the pressure to specification. I got the four horn honks and then a honk on each tire almost immediately at 12 t0 15 seconds of air bleed time. Viva la you tube and thank you to Humman Off-Road. It is unbelievable that a huge national reputable tire chain did not know what they were doing. Perhaps they were a little mad that I brought my own sensors to the table at 25 dollars a unit rather than buy theirs at 50 dollars a unit. Big O-tire quoted me 106 dollars a unit.

      That's what ALL retailers do.... and why they hate amazon and ebay, and have done everything in their power to increase costs and prices (via surcharges, taxes, etc) on things you buy from those marketplaces. I worked for corporate Lowe's home improvement, and the markup on everything is astronomical! That $2,00 fridge you were looking at only cost them $178 with all their bulk discounts and supply chain hacks to reduce cost... and that $110 dollar modest christmas tree only cost them $5.35! It's crazy the markup that consumers enable.

    gonna try this when i get home tonight. i have had the same tires on the H3 for two years. does this trick work with old tires as well as newly installed? both "SERV TPM and LOW TIRE msg comes on. topping up the tire pressure makes the low tire msg go away but not TPM msg. so gonna give it a shot and see what happens. if you DONT get an all clear beep from one of the tires go back and try again? if that doesnt work what next?

    • @NewRoad
      @NewRoad  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you don't get beep from tire - most likely the sensor is bad or battery dead. Mind you, TMP sensors are lasting for about 10 years, so for most of H3 on the road - it is time to replace them. I'm actually exactly in the same situation now - my rear passenger does not respond... I just bought sensor and BeadBuster and will be changing sensor... and make video how to do it

    I'm going to try this! But I am wondering what pressure each tire should be at? Or will it Beep when it gets to the correct tire pressure and sound to show its met the correct pressure

    • @NewRoad
      @NewRoad  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It just beep when it successfully pairs. You will have to pump it back to your normal pressure after. I usually have 35 psi

    • @5.poundz
      @5.poundz ปีที่แล้ว

      You should have a chart on the inside of the drivers door frame and you should also check the tire size to make sure they are the original tires you can find the size on the chart as well. Or you could find the maximum tire pressure on the tire wall which you should fill up to that maximum.

      Funny that I have the same situation... I matched all sensors - but occasionally the message pop-up. I think one of the sensor's battery is running out and it is time to replace. When was the last time you changed sensors? The battery is good for about 8-10 years

    The disconnection of the battery for 2 minutes sorted the symbol warning light. But the ‘service TPM’ message remained. Doing this however has fixed it thankfully. But only the rear tyre beeped when I let air out. Thanks for this 👍

    So I just bought a used 2010 Chevy Colorado Lt 4x4 and my TPMS sensor keeps going on when I take it down to the tire shop they fix it then within 250 miles it goes off again. could it be possible that my spare is triggering the TPMS light to come on? I have done this myself and all my tires were good according to your video I got a honk from all 5. Please let me know if something else may be causing this issue, thanks.

    I get the message when it's cold, but not when it's warm. Obviously, these sensors are affected by seasonal temp change. The colder it is, obviously, the density of the air in the tires changes and tells the sensor there's not enough air, even though there is the same amount as when it is warm outside. Maybe it becomes more sensitive to seasonal temp change as it ages. Seems to be the case, but my Fiance gets this message on her 2016 Toyota Celica when the temp goes down below freezing and her car was only a year old when it began last winter.
    Same as my H3, when it gets warmer, say 35 and up, the light goes off.
    Question to everyone: If you want to replace a sensor, how do you figure out which tire it is without taking it in for service, or hooking up a diagnostic meter?

    Hello Great Video ! !
    Hey on my 2009 H3 I put 285/75R 16 tries on from A great tire shop, It had 265's on it before. Ran good for 2,700 miles. Then my SERV TPM came on. I took it to a chev dealer and they relearned the Sensors. I drove it 50 feet and the SERV TPM came back on. I ask them whats wrong and they said it's because I have over size tires ??? and need to put different Sensors...I don't think this is true...Any thoughts ???? Thank You for any help :)

    • @NewRoad
      @NewRoad  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't think how tire size can cause it. The sensor measures air pressure - not the tire size :-). I switched tires from 33's to 35's and back few times and never had such problems.

    Hi this is Erik I run s auto body shop in va , just bought 2 Hummer H3,s one for my daughter she turns 16 in 4 months, I wanna ask your opinion, I just put 20x10s on mine with 33-12.50-20s but the tires look so small and now I’m wishing I would have went 35s I am getting the leveling kit either the torsion keys that adj up to 3 in or the rox level kit , would the 35s have fit anyway they actually talked me out of 35s saying that the 33s would’ve rubbed till I get a 2 in level kit ? Sorry so long , really irritated about buying 33s really look small

    • @NewRoad
      @NewRoad  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Don't buy leveling kit - just crank the torsion bar, here is my video how to do it: th-cam.com/video/OJXq58NzJyE/w-d-xo.html
      I'm running 33s and I like it. I used to run 35s - look great... but rubbing a bit on bar (video about rubbing problem: th-cam.com/video/GeT-ByOURdg/w-d-xo.html) when you fully turn the wheels. The only way to avoid rubbing is to go with 4 inch lift kit - but nobody is making these kits for H3s anymore.
      I'm thinking to buy set of 35s for off-roading in summer... but for anything else - 33s are the best for ride and mileage

      Might be faulty sensor. You can try to follow the steps in the video and see which one is not responding.

      Try to wait longer (let air for 15 seconds and wait 30 seconds) and see if it is just timing. If the problem persist - you probably got 2 bad sensors

    The horn didn’t cherp until after you stopped letting air out of two of the tires making it seem like someone tapped on the horn. Just saying.
