This was one of the first pieces I've ever learnt on piano many years ago, and it's one of those pieces that you recognise straight away, as one of the classics of the instrument. Being one of the most popular Chopin pieces, this lovely tune persists in the passage of time, a melody so universal to every piano player and listener worldwide. I've performed this piece at my high school music festival once, and although I've played it many times ever since, I still could not get over the beauty and emotion this piece evokes in me.
